👩 💻👨 💻About You
We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP FICO Consultant / Team Lead to lead SAP Finance and Controlling initiatives, oversee functional delivery, and provide expert guidance to the SAP FICO team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in SAP FI/CO, excellent problem-solving abilities, and proven experience leading consulting teams and working with business stakeholders.
The role involves managing end-to-end SAP FICO implementations, rollouts, enhancements, and support activities while ensuring high-quality solutions aligned with business and financial requirements.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of SAP FICO consultants, providing technical and functional guidance.
- Manage the delivery of SAP FICO projects, enhancements, rollouts, and production support activities.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable SAP FICO solutions.
- Lead SAP FI configuration across areas such as:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Asset Accounting (AA)
- Bank Accounting
- Tax and financial reporting
- Lead SAP CO configuration and integration across:
- Cost Center Accounting
- Profit Center Accounting
- Internal Orders
- Product Costing
- Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)
- Design and review functional specifications for reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and workflows.
- Work closely with business users, finance teams, project managers, and technical teams to define and implement effective solutions.
- Manage functional workshops, requirement gathering, solution design, and user acceptance testing.
- Coordinate with cross-functional SAP teams, including MM, SD, PP, PS, and ABAP.
- Provide expert support for complex production issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Review team deliverables to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to SAP best practices.
- Plan and manage work allocation, priorities, timelines, and deliverables for the FICO team.
- Support project estimation, resource planning, risk management, and status reporting.
- Lead cutover, data migration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support activities.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and optimization of SAP finance processes.
- Stay current with SAP S/4HANA Finance functionality, best practices, and emerging technologies.
🛠️ Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 8+ years of SAP FICO experience, preferably including SAP S/4HANA Finance.
- Strong hands-on configuration experience in SAP FI and CO.
- Proven experience with at least one full-cycle SAP implementation, rollout, or transformation project.
- Strong understanding of financial and management accounting processes.
- Experience integrating SAP FICO with other SAP modules such as MM, SD, PP, and PS.
- Experience in requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Previous experience leading an SAP FICO team or functional workstream.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects within agreed timelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
⭐Preferred Qualifications
- SAP S/4HANA Finance implementation or migration experience.
- Experience with SAP Central Finance is an advantage.
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori and modern S/4HANA Finance processes.
- Experience with financial reporting and month-end/year-end closing processes.
- Understanding of integration with banking, tax, and third-party financial systems.
- SAP certification in FICO/S/4HANA Finance is preferred.
- Experience working in international or multi-country SAP environments.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Experience working with distributed or offshore/onshore teams.
