Senior Socioeconomic Expert -12 Years

Position: Socioeconomic Expert Location: Karnataka Experience: 5+ Years Qualification: Post Graduate in Social Work / MA in Sociology or Equivalent Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Socioeconomic Expert to support socio-economic surveys, field data collection, urban data analysis, and planning studies for Master Plan / Urban Development projects. The candidate should have strong experience in community studies, demographic analysis, and socio-economic data interpretation. Kannada language proficiency is mandatory. Key Responsibilities Conduct socio-economic surveys and field data collection activities. Analyze demographic, social, and economic data for urban and regional planning projects. Prepare socio-economic reports, survey findings, and analytical documentation. Coordinate with field teams, local authorities, and stakeholders. Support urban planning teams with population projections and socio-economic assessments. Maintain and manage socio-economic databases and secondary source data. Ensure data accuracy, quality validation, and timely submission of reports. Participate in stakeholder consultations and community interactions. Required Skills Strong understanding of socio-economic survey methodologies. Experience in field survey coordination and data analysis. Knowledge of urban and regional development studies. Proficiency in MS Excel, reporting tools, and data analysis techniques. Good communication, documentation, and presentation skills. Ability to interact with communities and government stakeholders. Preferred Experience Should have been involved in collection of field data and socio-economic surveys, analysis of socio-economic data of cities/towns, projections, urban database preparation using secondary sources for at least one Master Plan project in the last 5 years.
