Salary Range - £67,500 - £75,500 As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll take a leading role in designing, building, and maintaining high‑quality, scalable, and robust full‑stack solutions that power our products and services. Working within a Scrum team alongside a Product Owner, Tester, and fellow Engineers, you’ll help shape technical direction and deliver production‑ready features that enhance the audit experience for users worldwide. You’ll collaborate closely with Product Managers and cross‑functional stakeholders, providing technical leadership to ensure solutions meet both user needs and business objectives. Your impact will span the full software development lifecycle from ideation and architectural design through to deployment, optimisation, and long‑term maintenance while championing best practices, code quality, and the reliability, performance, and future readiness of our systems. You’ll contribute to modern cloud-native software using the following Tech Stack: ASP.NET .NET Core Entity Framework Core SQL & SSMS Blazor Razor Pages Azure DevOps (Pipelines & Repos) Azure Cloud Infrastructure Azure App Services & Worker Functions AI Foundry We value curiosity, ownership, agile collaboration, and a willingness to learn. Responsibilities As a Senior Software Engineer at Inflo, you will: Independently design and implement complex technical solutions Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability Drive high coding standards through example Influence good engineering patterns (automation, testing, refactoring) Provide structured technical support and guidance to junior/mid engineers Collaborate closely with peers, including Lead Engineers, Test Engineers, Product Owners and Product Managers, on shaping the teams work and delivering features end-to-endDesign, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software in a Scrum team Break down technical work during refinement and planning Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical standards Ensure performance, reliability, and scalability of the product Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners and Testers to deliver features end-to-end Support production debugging and incident investigations, all with root cause analysis and reporting, as required. Contribute to continuous improvement through Code Quality Improvements and automation Uphold engineering best practices, security standards, and clean code principles Required/desired skills & qualifications Required: Clear and concise coding techniques Foundational technical design capabilities Self-guided research into development and process topics Strong communication and problem-solving skills Focus on quality, customer experience, and maintainability Understanding of Agile or Scrum delivery Desired: Exposure to cloud-native architecture, serverless, microservices, or containerization Experience with automation, performance tuning, or observability Familiarity with testing frameworks or CI/CD pipelines BSc in Computer Science or a related field Core values in action Science – You’ll apply evidence-based thinking, measure impact, and use data to inform decisions and validate progress. Success within the first 12 month Success in the first 12 months looks like getting up to speed fast on the product domain, codebase, and architecture—making good calls and explaining trade-offs clearly. You ship meaningful, production-ready work at a steady pace, turning complex problems into pragmatic increments and owning delivery end-to-end. You lift the quality bar with clean, maintainable code, sensible refactoring, and tests that stop regressions. You strengthen reliability and operability by improving performance, resilience, and observability, and you help drive structured incident investigation through to root-cause fixes. You work seamlessly in a Scrum team and with Product and Test partners - spotting risks early and keeping people aligned. You lead through example in reviews and technical communication, and you actively support and mentor junior and mid-level engineers. Over the year, you remove friction through automation, pipeline and developer-experience improvements, and you leave the team and systems noticeably better than you found them.
