Senior Software Engineer Chennai About the Job The SA&I team manages survey platforms and panel management software, supporting key business processes and ensuring high-quality data collection and analysis. Our current technology stack consists primarily of .NET / C# / SQL Server. We are in the process of modernizing our infrastructure, transitioning towards .NET Core and more contemporary development practices. The ideal candidate is a skilled software engineer with experience in .NET technologies, an interest in modernizing legacy systems, and a collaborative mindset. You will be part of a flexible and collaborative environment where you can develop and refine your skills while working on impactful projects. Who we are looking for: You have experience developing and maintaining applications in .NET / C# and SQL Server. You have a solid understanding of software engineering principles and best practices. You are eager to work on both legacy WebForms applications and modern .NET Core solutions. You have excellent problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset. You can effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are a strong team player who thrives in a collaborative environment. You take ownership of your work and deliver high-quality software solutions. You are adaptable and open to learning new technologies as we transition to a more modern infrastructure. Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using .NET / C# and SQL Server. Contribute to the migration of legacy WebForms applications to .NET Core. Implement and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services. Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver efficient solutions. Optimize database queries and improve application performance. Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities. Collaborate with other team members to ensure system stability, security, and scalability. Troubleshoot and debug issues in both existing and new applications. 6 - 9 years of experience in software development using .NET / C# and SQL Server. Experience with WebForms and ASP.NET MVC is a plus. Familiarity with .NET Core and modern web development practices. Understanding of relational databases and writing optimized SQL queries. Knowledge of software development best practices, including version control (Git), unit testing, and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with cloud platforms (Azure) A good understanding of .net http request pipelines, clean architecture, Dependency-Injection concepts and unit testing. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
