Is this job info correct?

About the Role Maleda Tech is hiring two experienced full stack engineers, passionate about social impact, to help build the vision of a nimble global emergency response program. This role supports an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit — affiliated with a major consumer platform — that has helped provide safe housing for more than 260,000 people to date, responding to hundreds of emergency events worldwide, including hurricanes, wildfires, refugee crises, and a global pandemic. The team builds tools that enable impactful individual generosity at scale, in support of the belief that everyone should have a safe place to call home. You'll bring strong technical knowledge, hands-on software development, and the ability to collaborate seamlessly across many functions. This is a small team working in an evolving space, so engineers here thrive in a fluid environment where priorities can shift quickly in response to world events or changes in government policy. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional partners on all aspects of product development. Envision and develop capabilities that help NGO partners book housing on the platform, build a global supply of free or discounted housing, and raise donations. Work with the engineering and data teams to break longer-term projects into deliverable milestones. Identify and advocate for areas of improvement through data insights and research. Quickly build context in unfamiliar codebases across a large product ecosystem to enable mission-specific capabilities. Qualifications Minimum Requirements 8+ years of industry experience. Experience designing, implementing, and deploying long-term initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional partners. Full stack development experience, ideally React/TypeScript and Java/Kotlin. Solid understanding of engineering best practices, continuous integration, and incremental delivery. Expertise designing and scaling APIs and their backing services. Comfortable advocating for product improvements using data insights and user research. Nice to Haves Demonstrable interest in the social impact field. Familiarity with GraphQL. Fluency in HTML, CSS, and related web technologies. Demonstrated design and UX sensibilities. Key Details Start Date: September 1, 2026 Duration: Contract through July 1, 2027 (approx. 10 months) Openings: 2 positions Location: Remote, within the US Schedule: Full-time — 40 hours/week, 8 hours/day, 5 days/week Pay Rate: Up to $105.00/hour, commensurate with experience Engagement: Contract role through Maleda Tech
