As a Senior iOS Engineer on this team, you’ll lead the design and delivery of native mobile experiences that bring skills intelligence, career pathing, and AI-powered learning to millions of professionals. You’ll partner closely with product, design, web, and backend teams to turn ideas like AI-driven role recommendations and personalized learning plans into fast, reliable, native experiences. You will own complex systems end-to-end, set technical direction, drive architectural quality, and mentor engineers — helping people and organizations navigate a changing world of work. Responsibilities You will design and execute user-facing features for the native LinkedIn app on iOS devices by leveraging mobile operating system frameworks for multi-threading, persisting data, and managing user experience and graphics across multiple screen sizes. You will use the latest cutting edge technologies and libraries suggested by Apple for building responsive native apps for iOS. You will build scalable native mobile apps using LinkedIn’s internal libraries. You will produce high-quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed and checked in regularly for continuous integration. You will provide technical leadership, driving best engineering practices to initiate, plan, and execute large-scale, cross-functional, and company-wide critical programs. Basic Qualifications BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience 5+ years of industry experience software design, development, and algorithm-related solutions. Preferred Qualifications 6+ years of relevant work experience MS in Computer Science or related technical discipline Expertise in API design and client/server communication; reliability in asynchronous networking. Proven multithreading and performance optimization skills; mastery of debugging and profiling tools. Track record of building automated tests (XCTest, UI tests, snapshot tests) and maintaining CI quality gates. Advanced Swift proficiency (Swift Concurrency); working knowledge of Objective-C for interoperability.
