Are you the Senior Software Engineer we’re looking for? Your mission at Sitoo As a Senior Software Engineer at Sitoo, you’ll be part of a small, autonomous team responsible for backend services that power our platform. This is not a role where you “hand over” code - you design, build, deploy, operate, and improve your services end-to-end. A big part of your work will be making thoughtful technical decisions: choosing the right patterns, improving system architecture, and ensuring that what we build is reliable, scalable, and maintainable over time. You’ll work primarily in AWS, using modern practices such as infrastructure as code, automated testing, and CI/CD to deliver quickly without compromising quality. You’ll also play an important role in how we evolve as an engineering organization - contributing to best practices, raising the bar for reliability and observability, and helping the team make sound trade-offs. About the team The Platform Security team builds the security foundations that allows Sitoo to scale. We own identity and access across our products, authentication, authorization, roles/permissions, and we turn enterprise security requirements into product capabilities that customers can configure and operate self‑serve. You’ll work close to product and engineering teams to ship secure-by-default platform services and the admin experiences that make them usable in real life.⁠⁠ What you’ll work with In this role, you’ll design and operate backend services that handles the platform's security. Your daily focus will include: Authentication and User Lifecycle: Building the robust foundations for authentication and account/user lifecycle management across the platform. Granular Authorization: Scaling permissions and roles across both our web-based Back Office and mobile POS applications. Enterprise Features: Developing high-demand security capabilities (like SSO, provisioning, and advanced audit logs) that allow us to win and support global brands. Secure Enablement: Collaborating with other engineering teams to deliver secure, intuitive admin surfaces within our new Back Office. Resilient Architecture: Ensuring these mission-critical services behave under load, focusing on low latency and high availability through modern AWS patterns and event-driven systems. What you bring to the table Strong backend development experience with Node.js or similar. Proven experience building scalable cloud services (ideally on AWS). A "Platform" Mindset: You enjoy building tools and services that other developers and enterprise admins love to use. Deep interest in Security Patterns: You understand concepts like OAuth2, OIDC, or RBAC/ABAC, and you know how to implement them without ruining the user experience.
