Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build and scale the software platform underpinning a suite of AI-native productivity products. This is a hands-on individual contributor role spanning product engineering, backend systems, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and production reliability. The successful candidate will take broad ownership across customer-facing software, backend services, multi-tenancy, integrations, and observability as the product and user base grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and evolve customer-facing products and the platform behind them as the company grows.
• Design systems that can serve growing numbers of users and organizations reliably, with strong multi-tenancy, authorization, and data isolation.
• Build and operate distributed and cloud systems across asynchronous, realtime, and long-running workloads, with strong observability and failure recovery.
• Integrate AI capabilities into robust product workflows and production systems.
• Make technical decisions that balance product velocity, reliability, performance, security, complexity, and cost.
• Own projects from initial design through implementation, deployment, and production operation.
• Work directly with product and engineering leadership and contribute to technical direction as the team scales.

Requirements

• A strong track record of building and operating complex customer-facing software at Senior Software Engineer, technical lead, or equivalent level.
• Genuine full-stack range, with strong backend and systems fundamentals and good product judgment.
• Experience designing and evolving SaaS or multi-tenant systems through meaningful growth.
• Strong cloud and production-systems experience, including personal ownership of what happens after software ships.
• High ownership mindset: thinks about the product end to end, not just the service or layer currently being worked on.
• A highly self-directed working style, with the ability to operate independently, navigate ambiguity, and move complex work forward with minimal oversight.
• Strong technical judgment and communication, with the ability to contribute to consequential architectural decisions while remaining highly hands-on.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and/or Python (most of the codebase is TypeScript and Python).
• Experience with GCP and Cloudflare infrastructure (web applications, backend systems, realtime workloads, and AI-powered products).
• Especially relevant: multi-tenant B2B or enterprise products with demanding security, privacy, or compliance requirements.
• Especially relevant: realtime audio, voice, messaging, or other latency-sensitive systems.
• Especially relevant: large-scale asynchronous or workflow systems, complex integrations, or cloud infrastructure at meaningful production scale.
