About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Senior Sourcing Specialist – US Defence & Intelligence to support a boutique recruitment firm specialising in U.S. Defence, Intelligence Community (IC), and Space programs.
This is a specialist sourcing role for an experienced recruiter who understands the U.S. security-cleared recruitment market. You'll be responsible for identifying and engaging highly skilled professionals holding TS/SCI, CI Polygraph, and Full Scope Polygraph clearances, building strategic talent pipelines, and supporting complex, hard-to-fill technical and executive searches.
This isn't a "post and pray" recruitment environment. Success in this role comes from proactive sourcing, personalised candidate outreach, strategic market mapping, and building relationships with highly sought-after professionals.
Working closely with the Principal Consultant, you'll play a critical role in developing sourcing strategies, delivering quality talent pipelines, and supporting successful placements across Defence, Intelligence, and Space programs.
Key Responsibilities
Candidate Sourcing & Talent Pipeline Development
- Source security-cleared professionals across engineering, IT, cyber security, construction, facilities, and executive leadership roles
- Identify and engage passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, referrals, and advanced sourcing techniques
- Build and maintain strategic talent pipelines for active and future Defence, Intelligence, and Space programs
- Conduct market mapping and competitor research across specialist technical sectors
- Screen resumes against clearance requirements, program experience, and technical suitability
- Deliver high-quality longlists aligned to client requirements
Candidate Outreach & Engagement
- Write personalised outreach messages that generate responses from passive, employed, security-cleared professionals
- Build long-term relationships with highly sought-after candidates
- Maintain candidate engagement throughout the recruitment process
- Represent the business professionally in all candidate interactions
Recruitment Delivery Support
- Partner directly with the Principal Consultant on sourcing strategy and recruitment priorities
- Coordinate candidate interviews and recruitment activities
- Provide market intelligence on candidate availability, competitor activity, and talent trends
- Support successful placements through strategic sourcing and pipeline development
ATS & Reporting
- Maintain accurate candidate records within the ATS
- Ensure all sourcing activity is recorded on the same day
- Track outreach performance, response rates, and pipeline movement
- Prepare regular sourcing and recruitment reports
What We're Looking For
- 1–3+ years of recruitment or sourcing experience supporting U.S. Defence, Intelligence, or security-cleared recruitment
- Direct experience sourcing candidates with TS/SCI, CI Polygraph, or Full Scope Polygraph clearances is strongly preferred
- Strong sourcing capability using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, and advanced talent sourcing techniques
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to create highly personalised candidate outreach
- Experience using ATS and recruitment CRM platforms
- Ability to manage multiple specialist recruitment assignments simultaneously
- Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work independently within a remote team environment
- Availability to work 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM U.S. Eastern Time
Highly Desirable
- Previous recruitment experience supporting U.S. Defence, Intelligence Community (IC), Government, or Space programs
- Experience recruiting engineering, cyber security, software, infrastructure, or other technical professionals
- Agency recruitment experience within specialist or executive search environments
- Knowledge of U.S. Government security clearance processes
- Experience supporting executive search or retained recruitment assignments

- Contribute to successful placements through strategic sourcing and market intelligence
