Manage day-to-day client collections for a defined project portfolio Execute the standardized collection process for allocated business line portfolio Execute standard processes across all locations to ensure consistency and quality Implement best practices to drive collection efficiency and effectiveness Deliver key metrics to ensure compliance with service level agreements, KPIs, and benchmarks against industry leaders Execute collection processes and best practices for all billing types Interact with collection leaders regarding matters related to working capital management and portfolio performance Maintain detailed documentation and records of all collection activities, communications, and outcomes in compliance with company standards Identify and escalate complex collection issues to appropriate management levels and collaborate on resolution strategies Embrace an environment that encourages maximum productivity and service effectiveness, professional development, open communication, and teamwork Undertake appropriate training and knowledge transfer across all relevant business processes Deliver results in alignment with EMEA's financial targets and organizational objectives Adhere to all Sarbanes-Oxley, internal policies, audit procedures, and regulations to ensure full compliance; monitor established control points Maintain working knowledge of key statutory impacts on the collection process and communicate relevant updates to the team Collaborate with accounting, legal, and other departments to resolve billing disputes and ensure accurate revenue recognition Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Business Administration, or Finance Minimum 4-5 years of professional experience in finance, with at least 3 years in collections, revenue recognition, or financial analysis Proficiency in English at business professional level Demonstrated knowledge of collections processes and best practices Understanding of financial compliance requirements, including Sarbanes-Oxley regulations and audit procedures Experience working with key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing collection portfolios across multiple locations or business lines Familiarity with various billing types and revenue recognition methodologies Knowledge of working capital management principles Experience implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiency Project management experience within a finance or collections environment Certification in finance, accounting, or collections management Additional language proficiency beyond English At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
