Senior Storage & Backup Infrastructure Consultant For one of our European Institution in Brussels, we are looking for a Senior Storage & Backup Infrastructure Consultant As a Senior Storage & Backup Infrastructure Consultant, you will join an Infrastructure & Operations team responsible for the administration, evolution, and optimization of enterprise storage and backup platforms within a large-scale international environment. You will play a key role in ensuring the availability, security, and performance of critical infrastructure services while supporting business applications and operational teams. Working closely with infrastructure, server, network, and operations teams, you will contribute to both day-to-day operations and strategic infrastructure initiatives. Your responsibilities As a Senior Storage & Backup Infrastructure Consultant, you will: Administer and maintain enterprise backup infrastructures Manage and operate SAN and NAS storage environments Install, configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize backup platforms Ensure backup and recovery operations for: Physical and virtual servers, Windows and Linux environments, NAS platforms, Microsoft Exchange environments, Microsoft SharePoint environments, Oracle databases, Microsoft SQL Server databases Perform incident, problem, and change management activities Develop operational procedures and technical documentation Manage off-site backup operations and data protection processes Participate in capacity planning and infrastructure improvements Conduct technical studies and evaluate new technologies Define and execute proof of concepts and technical assessments Contribute to migration projects and production deployments Monitor service quality and operational KPIs Provide knowledge transfer and technical training to operational teams Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure service continuity and operational excellence Mandatory skills Strong experience with enterprise backup solutions: Dell EMC Networker (preferred), Veeam, NetBackup, Commvault, Cohesity Experience with Dell EMC Data Domain Good knowledge of SAN and NAS technologies Experience with NDMP and tape libraries Strong Windows Server administration skills Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux Experience working in virtualized environments Knowledge of enterprise storage architectures Education Master's degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience, or Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 12 years of relevant professional experience Nice to have Dell EMC Data Protection Suite VMware ESXi and vCenter Nutanix AHV and Prism Central Dell EMC Unity, PowerStore, and PowerScale ITIL best practices Experience with operational governance and service management Infrastructure architecture and technology assessment experience Migration and transformation project experience Training and knowledge-sharing capabilities Soft skills Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities Excellent problem-solving skills Ability to work autonomously Team-oriented mindset Good communication skills Customer and service-oriented approach Ability to work in critical and highly available environments Flexibility to occasionally work outside regular business hours Languages Fluent English (C1) Work Model Hybrid Location Brussels Locations Bridge351 Brussels Remote status Hybrid
