Responsibilities The following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment. Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments. Represents the firm in meetings and conferences to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate a project. Plans, develops, coordinates, and directs a medium to large engineering project or a number of smaller complex projects with overall responsibility for budget adherence, schedule adherence, quality control, and inter-discipline coordination. Supervision and guidance related largely to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, policy matters, and/or unusual problems and developments. Supervise, coordinate, and review the work of a team of engineers and designers working on the same assigned project. Defines project scope of work and organizes into manageable tasks. Evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering methods and techniques on work of small projects or on portions of larger projects. Receives clear instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and collaborates to derive effective solutions to unusual problems. Perform structural analysis and design of steel, concrete, masonry, and (where applicable) wood structures for industrial and high‑performance facilities. Develop and review design calculations, models, and drawings for: Building frames and foundations Equipment foundations, pipe racks, platforms, mezzanines, and support structures Structural modifications to existing facilities Apply relevant building codes and standards (e.g., IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, local codes). Work as part of a multi‑discipline project team (architectural, mechanical, electrical, process, civil, etc.) to coordinate structural requirements and interfaces. Contribute to quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reviews for structural deliverables. Reviews construction documents (plans, sections, details, specifications). Support the development of structural design criteria and basis‑of‑design documents. Reviews work with supervisor to ensure the application of sound engineering practices and professional judgment. Write portions of specifications and assist in preparing cost estimates. Performs design work on Revit and AutoCAD. Qualifications What You Will Bring: Bachelor´s degree in Civil engineering, with a structural emphasis Cédula Profesional and Titulo are a mandatory requirement Master degree in structural engineering (Preferred). More than 12 direct years of structural engineering experience Experience with previous industrial/manufacturing building project experience. Data center and/or pharmaceutical building experience. Proficiency with structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD, RAM, RISA or similar. Experience with building codes and standards such as: IBC, ASCE 7, ASIC, ACI (an others as applicable). Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit. Desirable Skills: Familiarity with BIM workflows and multi-discipline model coordination. Working knowledge of Revit for coordination and markup. What We Bring: Monthly based gross salary.
