Senior Student Systems Analyst Shaping Student Data. Supporting Student Success At The University of Law, we’re looking for a Senior Student Systems Analyst to join our Student Data and Governance department. This is a permanent, full-time position working remotely, with the occasional attendance required on campus. You will lead the functional review of Ellucian Banner releases, upgrades, patches, and product developments, assessing their impact on University processes, reporting, integrations, data quality, compliance, and users. The successful candidate will support the ongoing development of the student system roadmap and will deputise where required in meetings, working groups, supplier discussions, and cross-University forums. They will represent the University in relevant Ellucian product and customer groups, bringing insight into ULaw to inform planning, continuous improvement, risk management, and the effective use of Banner across the student lifecycle. As our Senior Student Systems Analyst , you will: Provide senior functional expertise for Banner and related student systems, advising on configuration, data, permissions, reporting, and user experience. Own the functional review process for Ellucian Banner releases, upgrades, patches, and enhancements. Coordinate functional testing, UAT, regression testing, and post-release validation for system changes. Assess the reporting, data, and integration impact of system changes, including implications for downstream systems and outputs. Act as a senior systems partner to key student lifecycle teams, supporting effective use of Banner and related systems Identify opportunities to improve system use, streamline processes, strengthen controls, improve data quality, and enhance user experience. We are looking for people who are/have: Degree or equivalent experience in systems analysis, computing, data management, business analysis, or a related field. Significant experience working in a systems analyst, functional analyst, business systems, or similar role within a complex organisation. Experience engaging with non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate these into clear system or process outcomes. Strong understanding of systems analysis, functional configuration, data structures, and business process design. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex system, data, and process issues.
