About the Role As a Senior Tax Preparer/Advisor , you will play a pivotal role in delivering expert tax preparation and strategic tax planning for our diverse client base of small and mid-sized business owners. By leveraging your deep understanding of tax laws and regulations, you will guide our clients to minimize liabilities, maximize cash flow, and achieve their financial goals. You will work directly with business owners to develop tax strategies, prepare accurate returns, and provide proactive advice that contributes to their overall success and valuation growth. What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like Prepare accurate and timely tax returns for corporations, partnerships, LLCs, and individuals. Design customized tax plans to optimize tax efficiency and align with the financial goals of clients. Conduct comprehensive tax reviews and present findings and recommendations to clients. Stay updated on federal, state, and local tax laws to ensure compliance and identify new opportunities for clients. Collaborate with our advisory team to integrate tax strategies into overall financial planning, including Profit First and Value Builder methodologies. Assist with resolving client tax issues, including audits, notices, and other tax-related matters. Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients through exceptional service and consistent communication. Mentor and oversee junior tax team members to ensure high-quality work and professional growth. What You Need to Succeed Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA designation (preferred) or Enrolled Agent certification. Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation and advisory roles, with exposure to small and mid-sized businesses. Strong understanding of tax laws, including corporate, partnership, and individual taxation. Familiarity with Profit First by Mike Michalowicz, Built to Sell by John Warrilow, and Traction by Gino Wickman is a strong asset. Proficient in tax preparation software and accounting tools (e.g., ProConnect, QuickBooks, Karbon). Exceptional communication skills, with a client-first mindset and the ability to explain complex tax concepts simply. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering excellent service. Experience with tax planning, IRS resolution, and managing multiple clients simultaneously. Why Join Us?
