Senior Technical Officer (AO4)

Contract to 16/10/2026 | Brisbane CBD | Hybrid Working

Lime Recruitment is currently working with a large Queensland government client to recruit an experienced Senior Technical Officer (AO4). In this role you will enhance ICT operational capability by providing technical advice, troubleshooting and hands-on support in a primarily Microsoft environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote operational support across sites in a primarily Microsoft environment.
• Configure, install, monitor, support and manage ICT environments using sound technical expertise, and contribute to project deliverables as required.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 1.5 technical support through the CITEC Service Centre, investigate and diagnose incidents, take remedial action and escalate accurately where required.
• Prioritise and allocate tasks, manage your own workflow and meet deadlines and defined service levels in a customer-focused manner.
• Apply CITEC IT service management processes, service quality standards, and workplace health and safety policies and procedures. • Develop and maintain ICT documentation, knowledge base articles, work instructions and procedures for supported technical domains.
• Provide practical guidance to users on the desktop environment and applications where required.
• Provide customer-focused advice and use effective communication, negotiation and collaboration to resolve issues and reach decisions.
• Mentor staff in the delivery of high-quality ICT support and help ensure agreed standards and procedures are followed.

About you

• Experience supporting enterprise Microsoft Windows desktop and end-user computing environments.
• ICT configuration, installation, monitoring, support and management utilizing Microsoft EndPoint.
• Configuration Manager across one or more technical domains.
• Tier 1 and Tier 2 incident investigation, diagnosis, remediation, triage and escalation.
• ServiceNow and ITIL-based IT service management processes, including working to agreed service levels.
• Development and maintenance of technical documentation, knowledge base articles, work instructions and support procedures.
• Ability to provide user training, mentor colleagues and communicate technical information to a range of stakeholders.
