Senior Test Engineer (Revenue & Financial Data Platform)

CUSTOMER The Customer develops a modern revenue platform designed for finance and accounting teams. The product operates with business-critical financial data where accuracy, consistency, and reliability are essential across all workflows and calculations. PROJECT The project focuses on validating and improving a revenue management platform that handles complex business logic, financial formulas, and transactional data. The role requires investigative testing, deep validation of calculations, and close collaboration with engineering and product teams to identify discrepancies and ensure system correctness. Perform comprehensive manual testing of new features, enhancements, and bug fixes Validate revenue calculations, financial formulas, and data accuracy with high precision Investigate discrepancies in financial data and determine root causes Analyze application behavior, database records, and API responses Execute full regression testing for production releases Verify bug fixes and provide timely feedback to engineering teams Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Software Engineers throughout the development lifecycle Create and maintain detailed test cases, test scenarios, and defect reports Work independently to drive quality throughout the sprint Identify potential risks and contribute to QA process improvements Support future test automation initiatives 5+ years of experience in Manual Quality Assurance Solid experience with SQL for database validation Experience testing REST APIs using Postman Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience validating complex business logic, calculations, or financial data Ability to investigate issues beyond standard test execution Understanding of expected versus incorrect system behavior Excellent attention to detail and commitment to software quality Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment Experience working in Agile Scrum teams Upper-Intermediate level of English WILL BE A PLUS Experience with test automation using Playwright Experience with TypeScript Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as PostHog, Sentry, and Datadog Experience working with financial or accounting systems PERSONAL PROFILE Investigative and analytical mindset Strong ownership and accountability High attention to detail Ability to work independently and proactively Effective communication and collaboration skills Continuous improvement mindset
