Position Overview The Senior Tournament Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing assigned esports tournaments within the Esports World Cup (EWC) & Esports Nations Cup (ENC). This role ensures that every competition, from qualification to finals, runs smoothly, fairly, and at the highest operational and competitive standard. Working closely with Product Management, Integrity & Governance, and Player Management teams, the Senior Tournament Manager oversees tournament delivery, ensures consistent application of rules and formats, and supports the online and on-site tournament experience for players, referees, and publishers. This position requires strong operational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, live-event environment. What You’ll Do Tournament Planning & Delivery: Coordinate and execute tournament operations for EWC & ENC tournaments and their qualifiers, from pre-event preparation to post-event wrap-up. Format & Rulebook Implementation: Ensure tournament rules, formats, and seeding systems are applied accurately and aligned with Product Management, client, and publisher approvals. Online Coordination: Arrange staffing, setup, and oversee online tournaments execution. On-Site Operations: Oversee tournament execution, scheduling, and referee coordination; ensure smooth transitions between matches and stages. Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the central point of contact for publishers, referees, and internal stakeholders during tournament execution. Integrity & Compliance: Support Integrity & Governance processes to ensure fair play and handle competitive incidents according to protocol. Documentation: Maintain up-to-date tournament documentation, results, and reports for internal and client records. Crisis Management: Identify potential risks, escalate issues promptly, and implement on-site solutions to maintain competitive flow. Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate with Player Management for player obligations, logistics, and scheduling alignment; work with Production to sync match timing and other broadcast-related tournament data/details and other departments (Project, Product, IT, etc.) to ensure smooth event preparation and progression. Feedback & Reporting: Provide post-tournament evaluations, outlining operational success, learnings, and recommendations for improvement. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the evolution of EWC’s & ENC’s tournament standards and best practices. What You’ll Bring Experience: 3–6 years of experience in tournament operations, esports management, or live-event production. Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of competitive structures, esports ecosystems, publisher relationships, and integrity procedures/referee management/dispute resolution. Operations: Experience handling tournaments in an online environment and managing tournament schedules, rulebooks, and live-stage execution. Skills & Tools: Excellent communication and decision-making skills, staying calm under pressure, proficiency in tournament management platforms, detail-oriented, structured, and able to handle multiple simultaneous tournaments or titles. Languages: Fluent in English (spoken & written); additional languages a plus. Logistics: Willingness to travel internationally and work extended periods & hours on-site during events.
