We are looking for a Senior Underwriter Liability, based in Stockholm. Your Team Allianz Commercial specialises in providing comprehensive and customised insurance services and solutions for clients across the whole Liability industry and as industrial specialists have a long-standing tradition of supporting our clients in respect of their Liability risks placed in the Nordic market and elsewhere in the world on both a lead and follow basis. We have expert global Liability insurance teams who are backed up by Allianz Commercial’s market leading capacity and our ability to underwrite risks in over 200 countries and territories. Our underwriters are also able to deploy significant capacity on a global scale. The Impact You Will Have Reporting to the Regional Head of Liability, you will underwrite profitable new and renewal business to meet the Line of Business targets in the Nordic Region and in accordance with underwriting guidelines and underwriting authority. You will negotiate terms and conditions and take ownership of your own key clients as well as develop and maintain strong relationships with our broking and client partners in coordination with our distribution/client relationship team. Some of your specific responsibilities could include: Underwrite new and renewal accounts to meet top and bottom line targets. Negotiate participation, pricing and terms and conditions with brokers. Proactively manage exposure and capacity. Proactively support acquisition of new business and retention of existing business Proactively liaise with Market Management & Distribution on market management initiatives. Positively represent Allianz Commercial externally to the market. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key brokers and clients and other relevant stakeholders. What You’ll Bring to the Role Preferably a degree in Law, Business Administration or Economics or other appropriate discipline. Significant experience in underwriting profitable business in the Liability market in the Nordic Region. Recognized relationships with brokers at peer group level and well established within market. Good understanding of regional/local Liability insurance markets and competitor landscape, including global elements. Ability to assess risk inherent exposures and natural hazards relevant to the line of business. Ability to analyse current performance against benchmarks applying how the market operates and functions, the business needs and customer needs. Ability to design, develop and implement consistent, robust wordings. Excellent understanding of policy administration life cycle, information collection, policy issuance, premium bookings, credit control, cancellation. Excellent analytical skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to create relationships and communicate clearly at all levels and with a wide range of people. Ability to influence and motivate others to act, without executive authority. Ability to integrate AI-driven insights into your work to optimize outcomes and support broader organizational goals. Fluency in English and Swedish is required. Working proficiency in any other Nordic languages is a plus. For Sweden, the base salary range for this position is between SEK 720,000 and SEK 960,000 . The specific salary offered considers: •  the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, •  the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience. The annualized represents a market range and will also be determined by the location of the role. In the situation where you do not meet all the job requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range.
