This role provides strategic leadership and oversight to the Vice Presidents of Stadium Booking, Arena Booking, and Theatre Booking, ensuring alignment of programming initiatives, business objectives, and market opportunities across the portfolio. Working closely with venue leadership, regional executives, and programming teams, the Senior Vice President, Programming serves as a strategic advisor and industry leader who strengthens promoter, producer, agency, and entertainment industry relationships. This role is responsible for maximizing venue performance by guiding booking strategies, identifying growth opportunities, fostering collaboration among venue teams, and ensuring a coordinated approach to live entertainment programming across the region. The ideal candidate is a highly respected entertainment industry executive with extensive experience across multiple venue types, including stadiums, arenas, theatres, and live event environments. They possess deep industry relationships, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven ability to drive revenue growth through strategic programming initiatives. This role pays an annual salary of $335,000-$345,000 and is bonus eligible. Responsibilities Provide executive leadership and support to the Vice Presidents of Stadium Booking, Arena Booking, and Theatre Booking within the assigned region. With direction from the President of Booking and Content, execute regional programming strategies designed to maximize event activity, venue utilization, and revenue opportunities across all assigned properties. Serve as a senior-level resource and strategic advisor to venue leadership teams regarding programming opportunities, market trends, and industry developments. Guide and support booking executives in developing relationships with promoters, producers, agents, talent representatives, touring companies, and entertainment partners. Identify emerging opportunities, industry trends, and market dynamics that may enhance programming strategies across the portfolio. Foster collaboration among stadium, arena, and theatre booking teams to leverage relationships, share best practices, and maximize cross-market opportunities. Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with major promoters, production companies, agencies, artists, and entertainment stakeholders. Support strategic negotiations and high-value booking opportunities by providing executive oversight, relationship support, and market expertise. Review programming pipelines, booking forecasts, and performance metrics to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. Evaluate market conditions, competitive landscapes, audience trends, and touring activity to inform regional programming decisions. Represent the organization at industry conferences, showcases, conventions, and executive-level networking events. Promote consistency, accountability, and best practices across all programming functions within the region. Serve as a key liaison between regional leadership and venue programming teams to ensure alignment of priorities and objectives. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Sports Management, Marketing, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. 13+ years of progressive experience in stadium, arena, or major venue booking, live entertainment, sports, or event management, including leadership responsibility across multiple venues or markets. Demonstrated executive-level relationships with promoters, booking agencies, artist management, sports organizations, event producers, and entertainment partners. Extensive knowledge of event booking, contract negotiations, event settlements, financial proformas, budgeting, event licensing agreements, and venue operations. Proven success developing booking strategies that increase venue utilization, revenue, and long-term business growth. Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders across multiple venues and organizational levels. Strong strategic planning, business development, financial analysis, and negotiation skills. Exceptional communication, presentation, relationship management, and executive leadership abilities. Ability to make sound business decisions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, venue management software, and booking systems. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
