Service Designer

Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Salary: Not a constraint for the right candidate!

Experience: 6-8 years.

Hybrid: 2 days Work from Home 3 days Work from Office

Your Profile & DNA:

We’re looking for a Service Designer who combines hands-on user research and design with strong stakeholder facilitation and strategic thinking.

You’ll work closely with an existing Product Designer and Development Team, shaping upcoming solutions and experiences before they move into delivery.

Roles & Responsibilities

Conduct User Research

• Lead key-user interviews and validation sessions at the office.
• Conduct user testing with end users at the Crew Center.
• Collaborate with Business Process Analysts (BPAs) to gather and translate insights.

Lead Design Ahead of Development

• Define future user journeys and service concepts.
• Ensure upcoming features are conceptually sound and aligned with user needs.
• Translate research insights into actionable design recommendations.

Facilitate Design Thinking

• Align stakeholders across business and technology.
• Plan and facilitate workshops, co-creation sessions, and Design Thinking activities.
• Promote a strong user-centered approach to decision-making.

Shape the Future Roadmap

• Contribute to the definition of new features and capabilities.
• Identify opportunities to support new user groups.
• Help shape the integration of existing applications into CrewPlanner.

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• Strong experience in Service Design, ideally within complex environments.
• Proven experience in qualitative user research and translating insights into solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
• Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels.
• Comfortable working in cross-functional business and IT teams.
• Experience with enterprise or operational systems is a strong advantage.
• Fluent English is required.
• Understanding of Dutch is a plus.
