Job Description Summary The Regional Service Lead (m/f/d) – Obsolescence Management & Spare Parts is responsible for the regional ownership and strategic coordination of obsolescence and spare parts activities for HVDC and STATCOM systems across Central Europe. The role ensures long-term asset availability and lifecycle value by proactively managing obsolescence risks, defining regional spare parts strategies, and aligning service execution with global product roadmaps. Acting as a key regional interface between Global Service, Engineering, Supply Chain, and local Service teams, the position translates global strategies into clear regional priorities and scalable service solutions, supporting sustainable service growth and long-term customer partnerships. This Role is a critical Link to the Project team and needs the support during the warranty and RAM phase, including internal support to the Warranty Close-Out Manager and the Project Director during the EPC phase Job Description Roles and Responsibilities: Regional Strategy Ownership: Serve as the regional authority for obsolescence management and spare parts strategy for HVDC and STATCOM assets, ensuring alignment with global frameworks. Obsolescence Mitigation: Identify and prioritize lifecycle risks, defining and coordinating effective mitigation strategies such as redesigns, upgrades, or lifetime buys. Spare Parts Optimization: Develop and execute regional inventory strategies, including safety stock definition, standardization, and optimized portfolio management based on asset criticality. Service Business Growth: Drive service revenue by identifying opportunities within the installed base and contributing to business cases for long-term service agreements and asset life extensions. Customer & Commercial Interface: Act as the primary regional focal point for technical-commercial discussions, supporting Sales and Service teams in customer-facing engagements. Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the critical interface between Global Service, Engineering, Product Management, and Supply Chain teams to ensure regional priorities are met. Operational Excellence: Improve processes, tools, and data quality while ensuring transparency regarding regional risks, performance metrics, and strategic priorities. Strategic Accountability: Oversee consistent regional execution and cross-functional alignment, with the authority to escalate risks and prioritize service initiatives to maximize long-term asset value.
