The Service Operations Engineer plays a key role in supporting the delivery and execution of commissioning and maintenance services across HiTHIUM's Americas portfolio. This position is responsible for coordinating field operations, managing third-party vendors, controlling service costs, and ensuring strong communication between customers, internal teams, and service partners. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working independently in a remote environment, and has experience in service operations within the energy or power systems industry.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Commissioning & Maintenance Operations: Manage commissioning and maintenance requests from initiation to completion. Review project scope and technical requirements, coordinate remote and on-site service activities, and track milestones to ensure timely delivery and fulfillment of contractual commitments.

• Vendor Coordination & Field Dispatch: Coordinate and dispatch third-party service crews based on project needs and geographic location. Evaluate vendor capability, cost, and compliance qualifications, ensure adherence to safety and quality standards, and monitor vendor performance to support continuous improvement.

• Cost Control & Service Planning: Support service RFP processes and review vendor quotations. Optimize labor allocation and service planning to control costs, while monitoring actual service hours and expenses against approved budgets.

• Ticket Management & Issue Resolution: Manage service tickets through internal systems to ensure visibility and traceability. Track response and resolution progress against contractual requirements, maintain proper documentation, and escalate critical issues when necessary.

• Data Management & Performance Reporting: Collect operational data from commissioning and maintenance activities, including labor hours, response times, and resolution outcomes. Maintain service records and generate periodic reports to support performance tracking and process improvements.

• Cross-Functional & Customer Communication: Serve as a communication bridge between customers, EPC contractors, internal engineering teams, and vendors. Participate in coordination meetings, support service-related contract matters, and proactively address operational risks and customer concerns.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in service operations; experience in BESS or power systems is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating third-party service vendors across multiple regions.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish

Desired Skills

• Strong organizational and remote coordination skills. Proficiency in service ticketing systems, ERP/CRM platforms, and Excel-based reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Self-directed with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
