About This Job The Servicing Analyst supports the day-to-day servicing of the company's equipment lease and loan portfolio, with primary responsibility for the operational tasks performed within the Servicing Operations (Ops) function. This role manages daily funding releases, cash application and operations tracking, contract and rate maintenance, refund and return processing, syndication support, vendor commission processing, and related recurring reporting and audit requests. The Servicing Analyst works closely with the company's third-party loan servicer, internal accounting and treasury partners, vendors, dealers, and syndication partners to ensure accurate, timely, and well-documented servicing of the portfolio. This position requires strong organizational skills, sound judgment in researching and resolving variances, and the ability to manage multiple recurring deadlines with a high degree of accuracy. This role also uses AI-enabled tools and automation, where available, to support daily servicing tasks and improve efficiency and accuracy. This position reports to the Servicing Manager. Responsibilities: Process and release daily equipment lease/loan fundings, ensuring required approval thresholds are met and funding trackers are updated and confirmed each day Review daily lockbox and ACH cash receipts, determine correct application of funds, and prepare files for the third-party servicer to apply payments accurately and on time Enter and track daily cash activity for company bank accounts within the general ledger system Research and resolve payment, contract rate, and account variances between servicing systems, escalating true booking errors or unusual items as needed Process returned payments, refunds, and payoffs, verifying accuracy and coordinating with the third-party servicer and internal teams on account application Maintain and process advanced payment ledger and related suspense accounts, researching variances and managing associated inboxes Support syndication activities, including preparing fund transfers, tracking payoffs and clawbacks, and remitting late fees to syndication partners Process monthly and quarterly vendor and dealer commission, billing, and revenue-sharing payments Prepare recurring servicing reports and respond to internal and external audit confirmation requests Maintain manual billing for vendors requiring asset-level invoicing outside the standard billing process Update and maintain contract, funding, and lockbox tracking spreadsheets and systems used by the servicing team Use available AI-enabled tools and automation to support tasks such as cash application, variance research, and reporting, verifying outputs for accuracy and escalating opportunities for improvement Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred; in lieu of a degree, 5–10 years of relevant financial services operations experience Working knowledge of equipment lease/loan servicing operations, including cash application, funding, and operations tracking processes within the commercial finance or leasing industry Proficiency with general ledger and financial systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced spreadsheet skills for tracking, processing, and reporting servicing activity Familiarity with loan/lease servicing platforms, lockbox processing, and ACH/EFT payment handling Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to research and resolve payment, contract, and account variances Ability to manage multiple recurring daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Effective written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with internal teams, the third-party servicer, vendors, dealers, and syndication partners Basic understanding of accounting and general ledger concepts as they relate to servicing transactions Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial, customer, and contract information Comfort using AI-enabled tools and automation to support servicing tasks such as data review, reporting, and variance research Axos Employee Benefits May Include: Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance Paid Sick Leave, 3 weeks’ Vacation, and Holidays (about 11 a year) HSA or FSA account and other voluntary benefits 401(k) Retirement Saving Plan with Employer Match Program and 529 Savings Plan Employee Mortgage Loan Program and free access to an Axos Bank Account with Self-Directed Trading About Axos Born digital-first, Axos delivers financial tools and services that allow individuals, small businesses, and companies to access and manage their money how, when, and where they want.
