Role Description The Settlement Coordinator and litigation paralegal is a full-time remote role responsible for managing the end-to-end settlement process for personal injury cases. This role includes preparing litigation and settlement documents, coordinating with insurance companies, opposing counsel, clients, and internal team members to ensure timely and accurate disbursement of funds. The Settlement Coordinator will oversee escrow and trust account activity, confirm lien and payoff amounts, and maintain detailed records of all settlement-related transactions. Day-to-day tasks involve communicating case status updates, resolving discrepancies, verifying settlement figures, and ensuring compliance with firm policies and applicable regulations. This role also supports process improvement, maintains organized digital files, and collaborates closely with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff to provide smooth, client-centered settlement experiences.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong settlement-related skills, including experience with Settlement, Settlement Services, and coordinating case resolution steps.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication and Customer Service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, insurers, and vendors.
• Candidates should possess Escrow management skills, including handling trust accounts, tracking disbursements, and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Prior experience in a law firm, insurance, title/escrow, or personal injury environment is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a remote setting.
• Proficiency with case management and office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, digital document management systems).
• Ability to interpret settlement statements, payoffs, and liens, and to follow compliance and confidentiality requirements.
• Experience drafting litigation documents.

Salary = DOE

Hours = 9 am to 5 pm eastern time zone
