About Wing People

Wing People is a human connection company.

We design what happens between people.

That might mean putting trained Wing People into a conference to make the right introductions happen, designing Connection Corners and experiences that make rooms easier to enter, or helping companies think differently about belonging, community and the very human moments that usually get left to chance.

But there are also stories everywhere.

In the rooms we enter.

In the experiments we run.

In the people we meet.

In what works.

In what absolutely does not.

We’re looking for someone who can help us turn all of that into something people want to follow.

The role

“Social Media Manager” doesn’t quite cover it.

Neither does Content Strategist.

So we’re calling this person our Showrunner.

We’re looking for someone to work closely with Wing People founder Shaena Harrison to spot the stories already happening around her, decide which ones are worth telling, and make sure they actually make it out into the world.

The role sits somewhere between:

Executive Producer + Editorial Strategist + Content Brain + Professional Person Who Says, “Wait. THAT is the story.”

You’ll help shape and run the content ecosystem across Wing People and Shaena’s wider creative world, including her founder platform, comedy and other projects.

There are a lot of ideas.

The problem is not generating more of them.

The job is recognising the good ones, giving them shape, and getting them shipped.

What you’ll actually do

You’ll work with Shaena to:

• Build and own an editorial strategy across multiple platforms and projects
• Spot stories, moments and ideas worth turning into content
• Decide what belongs on LinkedIn, Instagram, Substack, video and elsewhere
• Turn conversations, events, observations and half-finished thoughts into publishable ideas
• Create simple systems for capturing content while things are actually happening
• Repurpose strong ideas intelligently rather than reposting the same thing everywhere
• Help plan, produce and publish content
• Keep the content machine moving when the founder has wandered off after another interesting idea
• Look at what is working and help us understand why
• Build sustainable rhythms, workflows and KPIs with us
• Collaborate with the wider Wing People team
• Help develop the role itself as we learn what works

You won’t be handed a rigid content calendar and told to colour inside the lines.

Part of the job is helping us invent the system.

Who might be brilliant at this

You probably have experience somewhere in content, editorial, production, creative strategy, media, social, brand or storytelling.

But we’re much more interested in how your brain works than whether your previous job title perfectly matches this one.

You might be:

• An executive producer who wants to get closer to the ideas
• A content strategist who can actually make things happen
• A journalist or editor who instinctively knows where the story is
• A creative producer who understands both chaos and deadlines
• A recovering event producer who knows how to make something out of nothing
• Someone from an agency who is tired of creating content that disappears into a brand calendar five minutes later

You should be comfortable working with a founder who thinks quickly, makes unusual connections and has approximately seventeen tabs open in her brain at any given moment.

You need to be able to say:

“That’s the story.”

And sometimes:

“No. We are not starting another account.”

Both are valuable.

How we’ll workThis is initially a six-month fractional role.

If we’re both happy and it’s working, we’d love for the relationship to continue.

We don’t expect the person walking in to inherit a finished job description, perfect workflows and twelve months of neatly documented KPIs.

We want to build those together.

You’ll have a lot of autonomy.

We care about outcomes, curiosity, judgement, experimentation and someone who sees possibilities rather than waiting to be told exactly what to do next.

The role is connected to Stockholm, but there is flexibility around where the thinking and making happens.

Agencies are welcome to approach us too, but we’re not looking to become Account #47.

If you’re an agency, we want to know the actual human being who would become part of our world.
