Salary/Position Classification $54,600+ Annual, Dependent on Experience, Exempt 40 hours per week 100% Remote Work Availability: No Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): Yes Purpose of Position The individual assigned to this position will support the Simulation Center and Simulation in Motion–North Dakota (SIM-ND) through grant development and administration while assisting with simulation education, curriculum development, and program implementation. Duties & Responsibilities Support grant development through funding research, proposal writing, grant administration, and compliance Research and identify grant funding opportunities that align with program priorities. Monitor grant announcements, deadlines, and application requirements. Assist with developing and writing grant proposals. Coordinate proposal development and gather required supporting documentation. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and partners on grant planning and submissions. Assist with developing grant budgets and budget justifications. Prepare and submit progress, financial, and final grant reports. Track grant timelines, deliverables, and reporting requirements. Maintain grant records and ensure compliance with sponsor and institutional requirements. Support post-award grant implementation and project evaluation. Collaborate with Sim Center staff assisting with simulation center events Assist staff with planning, coordinating, and facilitating internal and outreach simulation events. Assist with preparing, setting up, and cleaning simulation spaces, equipment, and educational materials. Provide support to standardized patients, facilitators, faculty, and participants during simulation activities and examination sessions. Assist with program marketing, outreach efforts, and participant communications. Assist with collecting evaluations, maintaining supplies, and supporting other event-related activities as assigned. Collaborate with the Education Coordinator, SIM-ND Manager, and Director’s to support curriculum development and implementation Assist with the development, review, and revision of simulation scenarios and educational materials. Assist with curriculum planning, updates, and implementation. Assist with researching and incorporating evidence-based practices and current clinical guidelines. Assist with organizing and maintaining curriculum resources, scenario files, and facilitator materials. Assist with evaluation, feedback collection, and continuous quality improvement initiatives. The duties and responsibilities of this position may be completed through a hybrid work environment and flexible work arrangement The employee may perform work duties in a hybrid working model. The employee will perform job duties and responsibilities in the office as requested by the immediate supervisor and as department needs and workload require the employee to be in the office. If the employee’s job duties and responsibilities are not needed for in-office work, the employee may choose to work remotely or in the office. If the employee chooses to work remotely, they will communicate that to their supervisor and coworkers. Remote work hours will be considered the same as regular office hours. Shifting work hours outside of regular office hours may be allowed if approved by the employee’s supervisor. If work hours are shifted, the employee may be required to be available by phone, and other employee work needs will need to be addressed during regular office hours. If the employee is unable to complete duties and responsibilities in a remote location, the employee may be requested by the supervisor to resume work in the Simulation Center. Required Competencies Proficient computer skills with experience with Microsoft Programs. Creative thinking skills Demonstrated skills of organization and efficiency. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Detail-oriented and highly organized. Ability to set priorities and work independently utilizing critical thinking skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Simulation Center users, including, but not limited to, staff, learners, vendors, and external healthcare agencies. Demonstrated ability in use of personal computers and spreadsheets. Must be able to travel locally, statewide, or nationally an average of 3-5 days per month. Must be available to work occasional evenings and weekends. Prefer knowledge of grant funding agencies, sponsor requirements, and post-award grant administration. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in nursing, allied health, public health, healthcare administration, health sciences, education, or related field, or an AS degree and 3 years of related experience. Two years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting. Experience with technical or professional writing, project coordination, or program administration. Successful completion of Criminal History Background Check. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment. Preferred Qualifications Experience researching, writing, and managing grant proposals, including proposal development, reporting, and compliance. Experience in healthcare simulation, medical education, or clinical skills training. Experience with simulation scenario development, curriculum design, and educational program planning.
