Position Summary • Executes the end to end preparation, negotiation, and finalization of site contracts and investigator budgets within established SOPs, multilingual templates, fallback language, and approval matrices. Maintains complete and timely documentation in approved systems and collaborates with cross functional partners to support on time contract execution. Exercises decision authority on budget items up to the defined threshold per SOP; non standard terms, out of threshold items, and complex/legal risks are escalated to negotiation governance lead or management, as applicable. Duties/Responsibilities • Prepare, review, negotiate, and finalize site contracts and budgets using approved templates, fallback language, and country playbooks; ensure alignment with protocol requirements and study timelines. • Apply SOP defined budget parameters and exercise decision making up to the authorized threshold; route exceptions and out of threshold items for approval per governance. • Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, WI/playbooks, approval matrices, and confidentiality standards; escalate non standard clauses and risks to the appropriate stakeholder. • Collaborate with study teams, Legal, Finance, CRO partners, and other stakeholders to resolve routine contracting questions and progress negotiations within established guardrails. • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete records of negotiation status, decisions, and versions in required contracting systems (e.g., CLM/trackers, e signature), enabling reliable dashboards and study reporting. • Meet established KPIs for cycle time, quality, and data accuracy; proactively flag risks to timelines and compliance. • Supports process improvement by identifying recurring issues and proposing practical enhancements; adopts new templates, standards, and tooling as rolled out by governance. • Conducts targeted reviews of prior negotiated agreements to identify new ways to improve efficiency within approved boundaries. Reporting Relationship • Reports to Associate Director/Director Site Contracting Operations Qualifications Specific Knowledge, Skills, Abilities • Working knowledge of clinical study protocols, contract templates, investigator grants, and site budget negotiation processes; ability to negotiate within SOP defined guardrails and thresholds. • High attention to detail with strong organization and time management; able to manage multiple negotiations against agreed timelines. • Effective negotiation and communication skills in multinational, multilingual settings; comfortable using approved translation resources/tools where applicable. • Proficiency with contract management systems and e signature platforms; strong MS Office skills. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or related field. • Minimum 2 years in site contract negotiation or clinical operations (or equivalent combination of education/experience).
