Site Reliability Engineer

Department: Platform Engineering

Reporting to: Engineering Manager

Location: Remote in EU (travel to Liege every 6 weeks)

Contract: Payroll or Freelance

The Site Reliability Engineer joins the Reliability Operations team within our Platform Engineering branch. A multi team organization that collectively builds and evolves engineering facing platform capabilities.

This role shapes and evolves reliability capabilities that enable Product Engineering teams to run reliable applications at scale. Combining expert level SRE practice with active mentorship, you will build self service tooling, improve incident response practices, and upskill team members through hands-on collaboration.

Key Accountabilities

• Reliability Capability Development:

Owns the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of observability, alerting, and incident management capabilities. Ensures capabilities align with platform engineering principles: self-service, golden paths, and developer-friendly interfaces.

• Adoption & Enablement:

Drives adoption of reliability practices across Product Engineering teams with the goal of enabling their full ownership of reliability and incident management. Works directly with teams to instrument applications, establish alerting strategies, and embed reliability thinking into their delivery practices. Success means Product Engineering teams operating autonomously—not

dependent on centralized support.

• Team Upskilling:

Acts as a technical mentor to Reliability Operations team members. Elevates team capabilities through pair programming, code reviews, knowledge sharing, and structured guidance. Helps team members grow their SRE expertise while delivering together.

• Incident Management Excellence:

Leads improvement of incident response processes, runbooks, and post incident practices. Facilitates blameless post-mortems that drive systemic improvements. Reduces incident frequency and mean-time-to-recovery through preventive measures.

You'll join the Reliability Operations team within our Platform Engineering branch at an inflection point. We're investing in senior expertise to accelerate our evolution toward mature SRE practices.

Working alongside Infrastructure and Developer Experience teams, you'll have the context and collaboration to build reliability capabilities that truly integrate with the broader platform.
