If you are a caring innovator who believes work should be life-centered and impactful, then this is where you come in… SweetRush is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to help design, build, and scale the infrastructure that powers our products and services. As a SRE, you will be responsible for improving reliability, scalability, performance, and security across our cloud-native environments. You will play a key role in defining reliability standards, strengthening observability, and driving automation across our systems. This is a high-impact role within a small, collaborative IT & Security team, with strong ownership and influence over our technical direction. What You’ll Do Reliability & Production Engineering Define and implement SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets Improve system availability, resiliency, and performance Lead incident response and drive blameless postmortems Identify and eliminate systemic reliability risks Conduct capacity planning and performance analysis Infrastructure & Automation Design, build, and maintain infrastructure in AWS Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform Improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation (GitLab CI) Build and maintain containerized systems using Docker and Kubernetes Reduce toil through automation and self-service tooling Observability & Monitoring Enhance monitoring, logging, and tracing systems Use tools such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, X-Ray , and modern observability platforms Improve alerting quality to reduce noise and increase signal Develop dashboards and reliability metrics for stakeholders Security & Operational Excellence Implement best practices in infrastructure hardening Improve patching, vulnerability management, and cloud security posture Support incident response and remediation efforts Contribute to disaster recovery planning and testing What You Bring Required Experience 5+ years in SRE, Production Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure roles Strong experience operating production systems in AWS Deep knowledge of Linux systems architecture Experience managing infrastructure using Terraform (or similar IaC tools) Experience with Kubernetes in production environments Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar) Experience designing, monitoring and alerting systems Solid understanding of networking fundamentals SRE Mindset Experience defining and measuring SLOs/SLIs Strong incident management experience Passion for automation and eliminating manual toil Data-driven approach to reliability and performance Nice to Have Experience in multi-cloud environments (Azure) Experience with security frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, etc.) Familiarity with cost optimization in cloud environments Experience building internal developer platforms or self-service tooling How You Work You take ownership of production systems You think in systems, not tickets You value automation over manual processes You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders You thrive in a collaborative, remote-first environment What We Offer Fully remote work environment High-impact role with technical ownership Collaborative, mission-driven culture Opportunity to shape reliability practices in a growing organization SweetRush Is an Equal Opportunity Employer We are committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all employees and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
