Social Media Assistant for a Keynote Speaker in Australia (Home Based Part Time)

Client Information The Client is a professional keynote speaker and author who works with corporate audiences on trust, leadership and professional development. They have an established personal brand and extensive content library, including interviews, podcasts, keynote presentations and media appearances. Job Description • Manage and maintain the social media content calendar across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. • Schedule and publish content consistently across all platforms. • Write captions, hooks and post copy in the client's established voice. • Repurpose podcasts, interviews, keynote footage, television appearances, website content and book material into social media content ideas and written assets. • Source relevant clips and content from the client's existing podcasts, interviews and media appearances for use by the video editor. • Work closely with the existing video editor to brief content requirements and ensure assets are ready for publishing. • Respond to comments and messages and actively engage with relevant audiences in English. • Test different content approaches on Instagram, including Trial Reels, and monitor what performs well. • Track and report on key social media metrics each week. • Proactively identify opportunities to turn one piece of content into multiple posts or platform-specific assets. • Stay across social media trends and identify relevant opportunities for the client's personal brand. Must Haves • Previous experience in social media management, content creation or digital content coordination. • Strong written English with excellent grammar and Australian English spelling. • Demonstrated experience creating content for LinkedIn and Instagram. • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends and audience engagement. • Excellent copywriting skills and the ability to adapt content to an established personal brand voice. • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a content calendar and publishing deadlines. • Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude for content ideas, captions, research and repurposing. • Able to work independently, take initiative and proactively bring content ideas to the table. • Strong attention to detail when scheduling, publishing and checking content. Nice to Haves • Experience managing TikTok and YouTube, including Shorts. • Experience working with personal brands, keynote speakers, authors, coaches or public-facing professionals. • Experience creating LinkedIn content around leadership, business or personal development. • Experience working with an existing video editor or content production team. • Understanding of analytics and social media performance reporting. • Experience repurposing long-form content such as podcasts and interviews.
