Role Description The Social Media Content Creator is a full-time, remote role based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. This role is responsible for planning, creating, and publishing engaging content across the company’s social media platforms, including text, images, and short videos. Day-to-day tasks include developing content calendars, aligning posts with marketing and brand objectives, monitoring social media channels, and responding to comments or messages in a professional manner. The Social Media Content Creator will track performance metrics, identify trends, and recommend improvements to enhance reach and engagement. This role will collaborate with marketing, sales, and other teams to ensure consistent messaging and support campaigns, promotions, and company initiatives.

Qualifications

• Ability to create clear, engaging social media posts, captions, and short-form content; strong writing and basic editing skills.
• Experience managing social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter, LinkedIn) and using social media tools for scheduling and analytics.
• Basic graphic design or visual content skills (e.g., using Canva or similar tools) and familiarity with smartphone or basic video editing applications.
• Understanding of digital marketing principles, brand awareness, and audience engagement strategies.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to follow a content calendar and meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on campaigns and messaging.
• Comfort working on-site in Dar es Salaam and engaging with local market trends, languages, and cultural context.
• Previous experience in social media, marketing, communications, or related fields is an advantage; a diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related discipline is beneficial.
