Social Media & Content Specialist (Freelance)

TL;DR

We're looking for a freelance social media creator who's happy being the face of GrowthBuddy. You'll turn what we do into content people actually stop for.

What you'll do

• Social media management: Own our social media channels by startegising planning, creating, scheduling, and publishing content across Instagram, Facebook, and other relevant platforms. Ensure our channels remain active, consistent, and aligned with our brand.
• Build brand awareness: Develop content that increases GrowthBuddy's visibility and positions us as a trusted recruitment partner. Create relatable content that educates, entertains, and encourages people to engage with our brand.
• Content creation: Produce engaging short-form videos, graphics, carousels, and written content. You'll be comfortable appearing on camera when needed and creating authentic, relatable content that humanises our brand.
• Community engagement: Manage comments, messages, and interactions across our social platforms, fostering meaningful conversations and building lasting relationships with our audience.
• Content strategy & reporting: Stay ahead of platform trends, identify content opportunities, monitor performance, and continuously optimise our social strategy based on insights and audience behaviour.

Who we're looking for

• 3+ years creating social content for a brand, agency or your own channel, with a portfolio we can look at
• Proof you've grown an account from a standing start, not just maintained an established one
• Comfortable being on camera. You've done it before and you enjoy it!
• Confident with short-form editing (CapCut, Premiere, Descript or similar) and can shoot decent footage on a phone
• Know your way around Instagram and YouTube natively; formats, hooks, captions, what each algorithm rewards
• Use scheduling and analytics tools (Buffer, Metricool, native insights) to plan and measure

Bonus points if you have

• Made content in B2B, recruitment, HR tech or marketing services
• A portfolio showcasing successful organic social growth and brand-building campaigns
• Basic design skills (Canva, Figma) for thumbnails, carousels and simple motion graphics
