Social Media Coordinator

This is a remote, freelance position Polygon is a leading gaming and entertainment brand delivering breaking news, trending stories, analysis, and viral moments across the biggest games, franchises, and creators in the world. As a worldwide leader, Polygon operates at a rapid pace and is always looking for experienced and passionate contributors who can create original high-quality content in a timely manner. Your Responsibilities Schedule and manage daily content (links, images, videos) across multiple social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, TikTok) - including breaking news, evergreen discussion posts, reels, and more. Create engaging social graphics (Photoshop, Canva or similar) Write engaging captions and copy to drive user interaction, leveraging Polygon's voice and style. Edit short-form video content for social distribution Monitor performance data and adjust strategy accordingly Identify trending topics and reactive content opportunities Collaborate with editorial to maximise story performance Learn and utilize the TrueAnthem scheduling tool and Media Library system, efficiently tagging, sorting, and organizing content. Provide flexible availability, adjusting work hours as needed for special events such as Gamescom, award shows, or major entertainment news cycles. What We Offer Competitive compensation.
