Let’s create the future of AI in photography, together. 🚀 About the Role We’re looking for a Social Media Intern to join Aftershoot’s marketing team and help us run the day-to-day engine behind our social channels. You’ll work closely with our social and content team on everything from Instagram Stories and short-form content to community engagement, creator content, trends, campaigns, and launches. This role is perfect for someone who’s creative but organized, curious about what makes content work, and comfortable moving quickly. You should genuinely enjoy social media, internet culture, content creation, and learning by doing. 🎯 What You Will Be Doing Help manage the day-to-day execution of Aftershoot’s social channels, including Instagram, Facebook, Threads, YouTube, LinkedIn and our Facebook groups. Own regular Instagram Stories and broadcast channel - from finding ideas and writing copy to creating simple designs and publishing them. Monitor and respond to comments and DMs across organic posts and ads, while knowing when something needs to be escalated to the wider team. Proactively engage with creators, influencers, and our wider community across social platforms. Keep an eye on tags, mentions, UGC and conversations about Aftershoot and spot content worth reposting, amplifying, or building a relationship around. Support basic short-form content creation and editing using tools like CapCut, Canva or similar tools. Keep social assets, UGC, testimonials, references and trackers organized so the team can easily find and use them. Support social campaigns, product launches, creator projects and other marketing initiatives as needed. Jump in to assist the marketing team wherever needed — collaboration is key! 💪 What We're Looking For You genuinely enjoy social media and understand how people use platforms like Instagram, Threads, Facebook and YouTube. You have a good eye for interesting, shareable and culturally relevant content. You can write clear, conversational English and know the difference between writing an email and writing a hook someone has 2 seconds to notice - strong copywriting skills. You’re comfortable using Canva to create simple social assets. You have some experience with short-form video editing or are excited to learn tools like CapCut. You’re curious about AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude and other tools that can make content workflows faster and better. You’re highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and curious Experience running a personal, college, creator or brand social media account. Basic knowledge of CapCut, Figma, VNEditor or other editing/design tools. Basic understanding of Instagram/Meta analytics and what metrics like reach, retention, shares and saves tell you. An interest in photography, pop culture or the creator economy. What happens after you apply?
