About Bearaby
Bearaby is a design-led wellness brand creating naturally comforting products that help people feel calmer, sleep more deeply, and live more intentionally. Best known for our sustainable, hand-knit weighted blankets, we bring together thoughtful design, natural materials, and the science of deep touch pressure to make rest feel better.
We are looking for a highly creative, visually driven Social Media Manager & Content Creator to help shape how Bearaby shows up across social media. This is a hands-on role for someone who understands both the strategy behind a strong social presence and the creative craft required to bring it to life.
The Role
[Remote/Hybrid — with availability for regular content-capture days]
As our Social Media Manager & Content Creator, you will help develop and execute Bearaby’s organic social strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and emerging platforms.
You will own the day-to-day social content calendar while also creating much of the content yourself, from designing polished static assets and carousels to capturing product, lifestyle, behind-the-scenes, and campaign B-roll for Reels and TikTok.
The right person has a strong design background, an excellent eye for elevated visual storytelling, and a native understanding of how content needs to feel and perform on each social platform. You should be equally comfortable building a monthly content plan, laying out an Instagram carousel, filming on an iPhone, editing a Reel, and reviewing performance to determine what we should create next.
What You’ll Do
Social Strategy and Planning
- Help develop and execute Bearaby’s organic social media strategy, supporting brand awareness, engagement, community growth, and product discovery.
- Build and maintain a social content calendar aligned with product launches, marketing campaigns, seasonal moments, partnerships, press coverage, and cultural conversations.
- Develop recurring content franchises and platform-specific concepts that make Bearaby’s social presence recognizable and distinctive.
- Stay closely attuned to social media trends, platform updates, emerging formats, sounds, memes, and cultural moments, translating relevant opportunities into elevated, on-brand content.
- Balance timely, reactive content with evergreen storytelling around sleep, wellness, design, sustainability, and product education.
Content Creation and Design
- Concept, design, and produce social-first creative across static posts, carousels, Stories, Reels, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube Shorts.
- Capture high-quality product, lifestyle, behind-the-scenes, and atmospheric B-roll using an iPhone or camera.
- Shoot and edit short-form video from initial concept through final delivery, including selecting footage, editing pacing, adding text overlays, choosing audio, and adapting content for different platforms.
- Create visually polished graphic content that follows Bearaby’s brand guidelines while still feeling native to social media.
- Repurpose campaign photography, creator content, press coverage, customer reviews, educational materials, and existing video assets into fresh social formats.
- Maintain a consistent premium visual identity while experimenting with new formats and creative approaches.
Publishing and Community
- Write engaging, platform-appropriate captions that reflect Bearaby’s warm, intelligent, and design-forward brand voice.
- Schedule and publish content across Bearaby’s organic social channels.
- Support community management by responding to relevant comments and messages and identifying opportunities for meaningful engagement.
- Surface strong customer content, testimonials, creator posts, and community moments for potential amplification.
- Help maintain an organized library of social assets, raw footage, templates, and published content.
Collaboration and Performance
- Partner closely with Brand, Creative, Growth, PR, Influencer, Ecommerce, and Product teams to support launches and wider marketing priorities.
- Translate campaign briefs and product messaging into compelling social-first concepts.
- Identify organic content that could be adapted or tested across paid social channels.
- Review social performance regularly, tracking metrics such as reach, engagement, saves, shares, watch time, follower growth, traffic, and content-led conversion signals.
- Turn performance insights into clear recommendations for future content, formats, messaging, and posting cadence.
- Provide a concise monthly performance report highlighting results, learnings, opportunities, and next steps.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in social media, content creation, graphic design, or a closely related role, ideally for a consumer, ecommerce, wellness, fashion, beauty, interiors, or lifestyle brand.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating elevated graphic design, social-first storytelling, and short-form video work.
- Advanced visual design skills and a refined understanding of typography, composition, color, and brand consistency.
- Proven ability to capture polished, engaging video content and B-roll using an iPhone or camera.
- Strong video-editing skills, including an understanding of pacing, hooks, transitions, text overlays, audio, and platform-native storytelling.
- Deep working knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts, including their different audiences, formats, and creative conventions.
- Strong copywriting and editing skills with the ability to maintain a consistent brand voice.
- A clear understanding of the difference between content that is aesthetically strong and content that is designed to earn attention, engagement, and action.
- Experience managing content calendars, scheduling tools, asset libraries, and multiple deadlines.
- Confidence interpreting social media analytics and using results to improve creative strategy.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
- An active interest in sleep, wellness, interiors, design, sustainability, and internet culture.

- Improved engagement, reach, saves, shares, and video watch time through a more insight-led creative approach.
- Built a clear feedback loop between social performance and future content planning.
- Helped Bearaby show up as a culturally relevant, design-forward authority in sleep and wellness.
