About Jack Westin Jack Westin is a leading Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) preparation company which is known for crafting high quality, but free, practice materials. The MCAT tests students on the scientific reasoning skills and scientific knowledge which can be learned during typical undergraduate coursework. Social Media Manager (Remote | $2,000–$3,000/month) Jack Westin helps pre-med students get into medical school through MCAT prep courses, admissions consulting, and a library of free resources used by hundreds of thousands of students. Our top-of-funnel is built around free MCAT strategy sessions, and social is one of the channels that fills them. We have three YouTube channels, an active podcast, and a full production team already in place: creators, editors, and a designer. We need the person who owns what gets made and how it performs. This is not a content creation role. You work alongside creators and editors who produce the content. Your job is to decide what gets posted, where, when, and why, run paid campaigns on Meta, read the numbers, and bring the ideas that keep us visible and credible in the pre-med space. What You Will Own Build and manage the strategic content calendar across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Meta, planned at least two weeks ahead and synced to our sprint cycle and campaign schedule Define the social strategy per platform: what we post, in what format, at what frequency, and why, based on performance data and audience behavior Plan and execute paid social campaigns on Meta (Facebook and Instagram), including audience targeting, creative briefing, budget management, and performance optimization Own social analytics and deliver weekly performance reports covering reach, engagement, follower growth, click-through, and conversion to free sessions, in a format leadership can act on Monitor what is resonating in the pre-med and medical education space, track competitor channels, and bring ideas to the team before they become obvious Manage community engagement: comments, DMs, and conversation threads across all platforms Maintain consistency in brand tone, visual style, and messaging across channels, working closely with our graphic designer Stay aware of industry voices, key influencers, and community conversations in the pre-med space and advise on how Jack Westin should be positioned within that landscape Brief the content and design team on formats, hooks, and platform specs, translating strategy into clear production direction What We Are Looking For 5 or more years managing social media for a brand, not just executing someone else's plan Proven experience running paid Meta campaigns with real budget accountability Strong understanding of each platform's distinct format requirements and audience expectations. (What works on YouTube Shorts is not what works on LinkedIn, and you have a distinct approach for each) You make decisions from data, not instinct alone, and you know which metrics actually matter for each platform You follow the pre-med, MCAT, or broader education space, or you are able to get deeply familiar fast and bring genuine creative perspective to it Strong creative judgment: you can review a raw video, a thumbnail, or a caption draft and identify quickly what is working and what is not Organized enough to manage a multi-channel calendar in a fast-moving environment without losing track of deadlines or deliverables Nice to Have Background in MCAT prep, pre-med, or health education Experience with influencer and creator partnerships Basic video editing skills in CapCut, Premiere Rush, or similar Experience distributing podcast content across social platforms What we offer Fully remote position with flexible working arrangements $2,000–$3,000 per month Full-time engagement with a stable, US-based company Opportunity to work on meaningful projects with a professional, collaborative team
