Job Description This is a remote position. Role Overview Integrella is seeking an experienced Senior Software Consultant (DBA / Data Specialist) to design, build, and optimise robust data solutions for enterprise clients. This role requires strong expertise across relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases, data warehousing, and ETL pipelines, with a focus on scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms. You will work closely with stakeholders, contribute to data architecture decisions, and play a key role in delivering reliable, well-governed data systems that support modern API-driven and analytics-based platforms. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain relational and NoSQL database solutions Build, optimize, and support data warehouse structures and data models Develop, schedule, and maintain ETL / ELT pipelines for data integration Monitor, tune, and troubleshoot database performance and query efficiency Collaborate with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders Ensure data integrity, security, backup, and recovery best practices Support data migration, replication, and high-availability configurations Participate in code reviews, testing, and performance tuning Contribute to technical discussions and data solution design Requirements Technical Skills Required Strong experience with relational databases such as MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB, Cassandra, or Cosmos DB) Solid experience in database design, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning Experience building and maintaining data warehouses (e.g. Azure Synapse, Snowflake, or Redshift) Proficiency in ETL / ELT tools and processes (e.g. SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Informatica power center, Talend or similar) Strong command of SQL, stored procedures, and scripting (T-SQL / PL-SQL) Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Microsoft Azure preferred) Strong knowledge of database administration tasks: installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades Hands-on experience with backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies (RTO / RPO planning) Experience with high availability and replication (Always on Availability Groups, clustering, log shipping, mirroring) Proficiency in performance monitoring and tuning (execution plans, indexing strategy, partitioning, query store) Solid understanding of database security: roles, permissions, encryption (TDE), auditing, and data masking Experience with capacity planning, storage management, and database health monitoring Familiarity with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) for routine DBA operations Knowledge of dimensional modelling, star/snowflake schemas, and OLAP concepts Exposure to data integration and streaming tools (Kafka, Azure Event Hubs, or similar) is an advantage Exposure to data governance, reporting, or analytics tools is an advantage What We’re Looking For Strong understanding of data modelling and database design principles Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Strong ownership, problem-solving mindset, and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team Soft Skills & Consulting Attributes Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage confidently at both technical and business levels Client-focused mindset with the ability to understand requirements and translate them into effective solutions Ability to lead discussions, provide recommendations, and influence decision-making High level of ownership and accountability for deliverables and outcomes Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills in complex scenarios Ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to team development Why Join Integrella Work on modern cloud and integration solutions Flexible and remote-friendly work environment Exposure to global clients and enterprise projects​ Strong engineering culture focused on quality and innovation
