The role As a Software Engineer in our Risk Experience team, you'll be a core contributor to the bespoke software that empowers our Risk and Compliance teams. You'll work on mission-critical, backend-focused applications that help us make the right decisions and drive operational effectiveness as we scale. This is a vital role in giving us the confidence to onboard new merchants securely and ensuring our internal teams have the best tools to succeed. What you will do... Develop and maintain bespoke applications and APIs using C# to integrate with vendors and help establish smart onboarding decisions. Work with C#, GCP, and MongoDB to build and optimise the orchestration of complex risk and compliance decisioning for our merchants. Create and maintain impactful software that enhances risk and compliance processes across the business. Collaborate in a cross-functional team, partnering with product managers and internal stakeholders to deliver solutions that drive success. Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code with a strong focus on delivering robust backend services. What you will bring... Solid experience as a backend or full-stack engineer with a strong command of C# for backend development. A good understanding of NoSQL databases (preferably MongoDB) and experience building and integrating with APIs. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues. A passion for solving problems with data and a commitment to building tools that make people's jobs easier. Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and an agile-driven development approach. An interest in modern frontend frameworks (ideally Angular) and AI-assisted coding tools.
