About The Role
As an Embedded Software Engineer at HAWE Hydraulik SE, you will be at the forefront of developing innovative embedded software solutions tailored for intelligent control applications. Your role is pivotal in designing and implementing modern development processes, including automated build systems and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, aimed at enhancing the quality, performance, and efficiency of our products. Leveraging cutting-edge AI-supported methods and tools, you will optimize development workflows, testing procedures, and quality assurance processes. Your expertise will be instrumental in integrating AI technologies into our software development lifecycle, unlocking new potentials for embedded system development. Collaboration is key; you will work closely with software, hardware, and systems experts to ensure the seamless integration of high-performance embedded systems into complex, end-to-end solutions that meet our high standards of innovation and reliability.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Expert knowledge of the C programming language with at least five years of experience in embedded systems development.
- Solid experience working with build systems and CI/CD pipelines to support efficient software delivery.
- Practical experience with AI-supported development tools and data-driven software development processes.
- Experience developing functional safety applications in accordance with standards such as EN ISO 13849, EN/IEC 61508, and ISO 26262.
- Proficiency in static code analysis tools, such as Axivion, to ensure code quality and safety.
- Ideally, knowledge of or practical experience with the Rust programming language.
Responsibilities
- Develop innovative embedded software solutions for intelligent control applications, ensuring robustness, efficiency, and scalability.
- Design and implement modern development processes, including automated build systems and CI/CD pipelines, to streamline workflows and enhance product quality.
- Utilize AI-supported tools and methods to optimize development, testing, quality assurance, and error analysis processes.
- Lead efforts in integrating AI technologies into the software development lifecycle, exploring new avenues for embedded system capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with cross-disciplinary teams comprising software, hardware, and systems experts to facilitate the integration of embedded systems into comprehensive solutions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety and quality standards, including functional safety requirements.
- Maintain and improve existing codebases, perform code reviews, and implement best practices for embedded software development.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance development efficiency and product performance.
