At Docuvera, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to work that matters, collaborate with talented people globally, and help shape the future of digital content in life sciences. We’re building technology that supports the highly regulated pharmaceutical/life sciences industry, where quality, trust, and compliance genuinely matter. Join us at a stage where there’s still plenty of opportunity to shape how things work, contribute ideas, and help mature processes in practical, visible ways. The part you'll play and why it matters As an Software Engineer in our core engineering team, you'll work as part of a squad to deliver full-stack features reliably and communicate your progress clearly. You'll design, develop, test, and maintain front-end and back-end application features; using agentic AI tools to accelerate your work while carefully validating what they produce; and troubleshoot bugs and performance issues. Day to day, you can expect to take part in code reviews, both giving feedback and acting on the feedback you receive, and contribute to technical documentation as you go, and work closely with product owners, designers, and engineers to deliver quality software. You'll build breadth across the stack and would apply the team's established patterns and best practices, with support available, when a problem is bigger than what you've tackled before. We are implementing agentic AI in how we operate, so you'll eventually direct AI agents to help with implementation, testing, and documentation, understanding that the output is yours to review and stand behind. You'd be recognised as a dependable teammate who flags blockers early and pitches in when the squad needs it, and would take ownership of the work assigned to you and see it through, asking questions when requirements are unclear rather than guessing. The impact you'll make You'll contribute directly to customer experience by shipping meaningful features safely and consistently, and by helping keep the platform stable as it scales. You'll strengthen the team through dependable delivery, careful testing, and a willingness to learn, growing into an engineer who takes on progressively larger and more ambiguous problems, on a product our life sciences customers trust with their most critical regulated content. Core Responsibilities Develop, test, and maintain features across the full stack (Angular frontend, Node.js backend, AWS infrastructure) Write clean, well-tested, production-quality code, using AI agents to accelerate development while rigorously validating all outputs Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation Collaborate with product owners, designers, QA, and DevOps to deliver features in squad-based Agile sprints Build with compliance in mind, supporting audit trail integrity, validated deployments, and traceability for regulated customers Help improve system reliability, observability, and performance Follow secure coding practices aligned with OWASP principles and Docuvera's security standards Communicate progress and blockers early and clearly Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing What we'll expect of you Full-stack SaaS development experience: Experience building and maintaining both front-end and back-end applications in a production environment. Strong coding and testing practices: Ability to write clean, maintainable code supported by effective unit, integration, and quality testing. AI-assisted engineering capability: Confidence using AI coding tools to support development, testing, debugging, and documentation while carefully validating outputs. Cloud and deployment knowledge: Familiarity with AWS, containerisation, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD pipelines. System, API, and database design: Understanding of scalable system design, API development, data modelling, and modern database technologies. Agile delivery experience: Experience working in cross-functional Agile squads and delivering features from requirements through to release. Secure and compliant development: Knowledge of secure coding practices, OWASP principles, and the requirements of regulated software environments. Ownership and collaboration: Strong accountability, communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and commitment to continuous improvement. We value diversity of experience, perspective, and background and we recognise that how we work is just as important as what we achieve. We’re built around a few consistent ways of working: driving outcomes, innovating, lifting others up, adapting quickly, leading by example, and bringing people together around a shared purpose. We capture these behaviours in six words: Go-Getter, Trailblazer, Elevator, Shapeshifter, Torchbearer, and Steward, and you’ll see them show up in how we collaborate, how we measure performance, and how we get work done day to day. A Go-Getter focuses on what matters most and drives results without chasing perfection; a Trailblazer is curious, proactive, and always looking for better ways to do things; an Elevator lifts others up through listening, collaboration, and crediting contributions; a Shapeshifter stays positive and calm through change and helps others find clarity and momentum; a Torchbearer leads with initiative and accountability, communicating early and acting in the team’s best interests; and a Steward brings steadiness and purpose, uniting people around shared goals with optimism, professionalism, and integrity. What you can expect from us We want people to do meaningful work, have a visible impact, and keep growing their careers, so you can expect to join a collaborative, down to earth team that operates with a flat structure, where good ideas are valued, people have genuine ownership, and influence is not limited by hierarchy. You’ll work on interesting technical challenges that have meaningful customer impact, particularly in highly regulated industries where quality, trust, and compliance genuinely matter. We are a distributed global team, but we work hard to stay connected. Our culture is built on curiosity, initiative, transparency, and continuous improvement. We focus on outcomes, accountability, and progress rather than where you work or how visible you are. You can also expect: genuine flexibility and trust in how you manage your work, helping you balance professional and personal commitments the tools and support to do your best work. This includes modern systems and AI-enabled technology, the autonomy to improve processes, and opportunities to help shape how work evolves as we grow access to funded and free learning, coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities, with a strong track record of internal progression. a range of leave benefits, including year-end appreciation leave, birthday leave, parental leave, long-service leave, and the use of confidential, fully funded employee assistance support. Other entitlements may vary depending on location and eligibility (such as unlimited PTO and healthcare benefits for the US). Why Docuvera?
