Role Description

We are looking for a Software Engineer who enjoys solving problems, building products, and working on a wide variety of technical challenges.

This role is primarily focused on backend development, but we also expect you to contribute to frontend applications when needed. We are not looking for someone who fits into a narrow specialization. We are looking for someone who is curious, adaptable, and excited about creating software that delivers real value.

You will work on a combination of client initiatives and internal products. One month you may be building APIs and integrations, the next you may be validating a new product idea, creating an MVP, improving an existing application, or helping solve a completely different business challenge.

This is not a role where you will spend years building the same product. We constantly explore new opportunities, test ideas, learn from failures, improve what works, and move quickly when we find something valuable.

You will be expected to:

• Design, build, and maintain software applications and services.
• Develop backend systems, APIs, and integrations.
• Contribute to frontend development when needed.
• Participate in product discovery, validation, and iteration.
• Build MVPs and help evolve them into production-ready solutions.
• Work directly with technical and business stakeholders.
• Take ownership of solutions from idea to delivery.
• Apply secure development practices.
• Contribute to technical decisions, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Required:

• Good software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience developing backend applications using any modern programming language.
• Experience building web applications, APIs, or software products.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or similar.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
• Clear communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes.
• Conversational English proficiency (written and spoken).

Nice to have:

• Experience with frontend frameworks.
• Experience building SaaS products or MVPs.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, containers, or CI/CD.
• Experience or interest in working in consulting, startup, or fast-paced environments.
• Interest in cybersecurity, cloud technologies, or software architecture.

Engineering Mindset

Strong fundamentals in software engineering, problem-solving, debugging, and system design are essential for this role.

If your primary contribution is prompting tools to generate code without understanding the underlying architecture, trade-offs, or technical decisions, this role is unlikely to be a good fit.
