Job Responsibilities & Requirements Designs, develops, and maintains software applications for customers in the building industry while working as part of a cross-functional agile team. Collaborates with experienced engineers to deliver high-quality solutions and build technical expertise through hands-on development and continuous learning. This position will work a hybrid schedule based out of our office in Denver, CO. Responsibilities: Write, test, and debug software under the guidance of senior team members. Contribute to the development and maintenance of software applications and services. Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and requirements reviews as opportunities to learn and grow technical skills. Refactor existing code with guidance to improve maintainability, performance, and reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional team members to understand business requirements and contribute to customer-focused solutions. Create and maintain unit tests for assigned work. Learn and apply established coding standards, development practices, and software engineering principles. Seek feedback and mentorship to continuously improve technical and professional skills. Support agile development processes including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field required. 0-2 years of experience in software development, internships, co-op programs, academic projects, or related experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience that clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may be considered. Preferred Qualifications: Understanding of programming fundamentals, algorithms, and data structures. Familiarity with object-oriented programming languages such as C#, Java, C++, or similar. Basic understanding of software development lifecycle concepts. Exposure to source control systems such as Git or Azure DevOps. Familiarity with unit testing concepts. Interest in learning cloud technologies, modern development practices, and industry-specific business domains. In compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the pay range for this position is estimated at $90k-110k/year. Base pay offered may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
