Role Name: Software Developer
Company Description: Hayra — a next-generation Talent & AI Agency helping E-commerce brands and marketing agencies hire smarter and faster through data, automation, and AI.
Salary: £1500 - £2500 per month
The Company
Hayra blends human recruitment expertise with cutting-edge technology to deliver fast, precise, and scalable hiring solutions for E-commerce brands and marketing agencies.
We're a small, ambitious team building the tools and systems that sit behind modern recruitment — combining AI, automation, and data to solve problems the traditional agency model can't. As we grow, we're investing in our own internal product and tooling, and we need a Software Developer to help us build it.
Our Values
- Extreme Ownership — Take full responsibility for everything in your lane: results, communication, and follow-through. If something slips, you own it, fix it, and communicate it early.
- Client-Centricity — Every action should make life easier for our clients and candidates. Think from their perspective: simplify updates, communicate early, deliver fast.
- Clarity With Pace — Move fast, but never blindly. Clarity creates speed, not confusion. If unclear, ask once, then execute with intent — clear and fast beats fast and messy.
- Continuous Improvement — Every week, we get a little sharper. Small, consistent improvements compound. Identify one process or behaviour to refine every Friday and share it with your POD.
- Data Over Opinions — Every discussion starts from facts, not feelings. Use updated dashboards and metrics before debating direction or decisions.
The Job
We're looking for a Software Developer to help design, build, and maintain the internal tools, integrations, and AI-powered systems that power Hayra's recruitment and operations.
You'll work closely with the Founder and Operations team to turn manual, repetitive processes into automated, scalable systems — from candidate sourcing tools to client-facing dashboards.
Our stack leans heavily on AI-native and no-code/low-code tooling — including Lovable, Supabase, and Resend — so strong AI fluency and comfort building with AI-assisted development is essential, not a nice-to-have. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role: you'll be shaping the technical foundation of a growing company, not maintaining someone else's legacy codebase.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain internal tools and automations that support recruitment, sourcing, and client delivery.
- Develop integrations between our core systems (CRM, ATS, Airtable, Notion, Google Workspace, and AI tools).
- Build and iterate on AI-powered workflows (e.g. candidate matching, data enrichment, reporting automation).
- Maintain and improve existing internal systems, fixing bugs and improving performance/reliability.
- Collaborate with the Founder and Operations team to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Own technical decisions end-to-end — from scoping and building to testing and deployment.
- Document systems and processes so tools remain maintainable as the team grows.
- Stay current with AI and automation tooling relevant to recruitment and E-commerce.
- Actively use and improve our core AI/no-code stack — Lovable, Supabase, Resend, and similar — to ship features faster.
More
You'll have significant autonomy and direct exposure to every part of the business — this isn't a role where you sit in a silo writing code with no context on why it matters. We're looking for someone who wants to grow with us, potentially into a Lead Developer or CTO-track role as Hayra scales.
Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years' professional software development experience (full-stack preferred).
- Comfortable working across front-end and back-end — e.g. React/TypeScript, Node.js, or Python.
- Strong, hands-on experience with AI-assisted development and AI-native tools — e.g. Lovable, Cursor, Claude, or similar.
- Experience with Supabase (or similar backend-as-a-service platforms) for database, auth, and API layers.
- Experience with transactional/email infrastructure such as Resend.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and no-code/low-code tools (Airtable, Zapier/Make, Notion API).
- Genuine interest in AI tools, AI-native languages/frameworks, and automation, with a track record of applying them to ship faster.
- Comfortable working independently in a small, fast-moving team with limited process.
- Startup or agency experience preferred but not essential.
Why Join Us:
- Help build the technical backbone of a growing AI-driven talent agency, from the ground up.
- Work directly with the Founder with real influence over technical direction.
- Flexible/remote working and autonomy over how you work.
- Room to grow into a senior or leadership technical role as the company scales.
