Position Overview This role will responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining moderately complex software applications and systems. This position will contribute to technical planning, collaborate with cross-functional teams and support continuous improvement efforts across the engineering team. This role will also participate in code reviews, contribute to architectural discussions, and help drive adherence to best practices and development standards. We are seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and operate software systems while working across the entire stack. This role is for someone who understands how systems fit together, from APIs and data stores to deployment, infrastructure, and user-facing components. You will build high-quality software, contribute to engineering practices, and help ensure our software is scalable, reliable, and easy to operate in the cloud. Responsibilities Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality backend services and supporting systems. Work across the stack as needed to deliver complete, end-to-end solutions. Contribute to services in production, including deployment, monitoring, performance, and operational health. Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate functional requirements into technical solutions. Contribute to architectural discussions with a focus on quality and maintainability. Partner with engineers to identify and resolve production issues. Participate in code reviews and learn best practices from the team. Required Qualifications BS degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent experience. 0-2 years of professional experience (new graduates welcome). Experience or demonstrated interest in web-based application development. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Positive attitude, collaborative personality, and desire to learn. Ability to learn new technologies and problem-solve effectively. Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, Angular, PostgreSQL, or AWS. Exposure to cloud platforms and modern infrastructure. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). Experience with CI/CD concepts or automated testing. Exposure to containerization or distributed systems. Experience using AI-assisted development tools. While location expectations vary by role, candidates within approximately 50 miles of a U.S. office are generally preferred to support collaboration when needed.
