Software Engineer

Our client, is seeking Software Developers to support a large-scale modernization initiative focused on transforming legacy healthcare applications into modern, cloud-native solutions. This is an opportunity to work on highly visible applications that support critical healthcare services for military members and veterans. The ideal candidate will have experience developing full-stack applications using .NET, Angular, and Azure while contributing to cloud modernization efforts utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code. What You'll Be Doing Develop and maintain full-stack applications using .NET Core/C# and Angular Design and build RESTful APIs and web services Support modernization of legacy applications into cloud-native architectures Build and deploy applications within Azure cloud environments Utilize Docker and Kubernetes for containerized application deployment Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform Collaborate with product owners, architects, and development teams to deliver scalable solutions Participate in Agile development practices, code reviews, and sprint planning Troubleshoot production issues and assist with incident resolution Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes Follow software engineering best practices for testing, security, and maintainability Required Qualifications 5+ years of software development experience Strong experience with C# and .NET Core/.NET technologies Experience developing front-end applications with Angular Experience building and consuming REST APIs Experience working with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases Experience developing applications in Azure cloud environments Experience working with Docker and containerized applications Understanding of Kubernetes deployments and orchestration Experience working in Agile development environments Ability to support production incidents and troubleshoot complex issues U.S. Citizenship required Preferred Qualifications Terraform or Infrastructure as Code experience Azure DevOps experience Microservices architecture experience Domain-Driven Design (DDD) knowledge Event-Driven Architecture experience CI/CD automation experience Healthcare, government, or highly regulated industry experience Experience with security best practices including OWASP Previous experience leading projects or mentoring developers Technologies C# .NET Core Angular Azure Docker Kubernetes Terraform SQL Server PostgreSQL Azure DevOps REST APIs Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of East Thetford, VT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
