Software Engineer (Apache Knox) at BairesDev

As a Software Engineer specializing in Apache Knox, you will manage the security gateway for Hadoop clusters. You will serve as a key link between complex big data infrastructure and secure user access, handling authentication, token management, and API gateway configurations to ensure a protected data ecosystem

What You'll Do

• Design, deploy, and manage Apache Knox instances as the primary security gateway for Hadoop clusters.
• Configure and maintain authentication and authorization providers to ensure secure access to data services.
• Implement and manage token-based authentication and identity assertion for seamless service integration.
• Develop and optimize API gateway configurations to protect and scale access to Hadoop REST APIs.
• Monitor and troubleshoot gateway performance and security logs to ensure high availability and compliance.
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or Systems Security.
• Proven expertise in managing Apache Knox as a security gateway for Hadoop clusters.
• Proficiency in configuring authentication, token management, and API gateway policies.
• Hands-on experience with Hadoop ecosystem security and directory service integrations.
• Strong background in managing secure access to distributed data services.
