Backed by leading venture investors and an experienced leadership team with backgrounds in advanced aerospace and robotics, we're building foundational technology that enables a single operator to coordinate multiple autonomous assets. This is an opportunity to join a small, highly technical engineering team where you'll help define the future of autonomous systems from the ground up. About the Role We are seeking a Software Engineer, Autonomy with 3+ years of experience to help build the core autonomy stack for a next-generation autonomous aircraft platform. This is a greenfield opportunity to help establish the technical foundation for large-scale autonomous operations. What You'll Do Build track correlation and multi-target tracking systems across heterogeneous air and maritime assets. Integrate command-and-control software with third-party autonomous hardware, including sensors, vehicle behavior, and communication protocols. Help define and evolve the autonomy architecture, making foundational systems and data model decisions. Develop software across perception, planning, estimation, and control to coordinate multiple autonomous systems. Work directly with hardware and participate in occasional integration and validation testing. Qualifications Required 3+ years of experience developing robotics or autonomy software. Experience building production robotics or autonomous systems software. Experience with one or more of: Track correlation Sensor fusion Multi-target tracking Experience coordinating multiple autonomous systems or robotic platforms. Strong systems-level robotics experience involving planning, estimation, filtering, or state reasoning. Professional experience with C/C++, Rust, or Go. Experience integrating software with real robotic hardware. Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Robotics, Mathematics, or a related technical field. Preferred PhD in Robotics or a related field may offset fewer years of industry experience. Experience with ROS2/DDS, Protocol Buffers, gRPC, ZeroMQ, Kalman Filters, or React. Startup or autonomous systems company experience. Experience debugging robotics software on deployed hardware. What We're Looking For Successful candidates will: Have a robotics generalist mindset. Enjoy solving complex autonomy challenges across multiple domains. Be comfortable working closely with hardware. Thrive in small, fast-moving engineering teams. Take ownership of foundational technical decisions. Compensation & Benefits $175,000–$250,000 base salary Competitive equity package Remote within the contiguous United States Approximately 10–15% travel for integration and testing Full-time position Additional Requirements Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen or permanent resident) and eligible to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.
