Job Description: Build the backend of CognoDB Cloud, the managed graph database platform — the APIs and services behind tenancy, billing, provisioning, data handling, performance and scale. This is a full-time role where you'll work on critical infrastructure that powers our cloud platform, handling everything from data modeling to performance optimization at scale.

Required Qualifications

• 0-15 years of experience in backend development
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Java, Node.js, Go, .NET, PHP or Ruby
• Hands-on experience with SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) or NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases used from code
• Strong understanding of REST API development principles and best practices
• Experience with Git/GitHub for version control
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services and REST APIs for the CognoDB cloud platform
• Model, store and move data reliably across the platform
• Write efficient queries and optimize them to maintain performance at scale
• Measure and improve performance metrics including latency, throughput and resource usage
• Write clean, tested, production-ready code and own features end to end
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust cloud infrastructure
• Debug and resolve production issues in distributed systems
