Your job Interview on Demand is a new real-time hiring product that lets employers connect with qualified candidates instantly through live video interviews, without the back-and-forth of scheduling. We’re looking for a full-stack software engineer to help us design, build, and launch improvements to Indeed’s web applications for enabling employers and job seekers to connect via video interviews. The team’s current focus is in greenfield exploration aimed at providing instant interviews for qualified candidates, and, as a member of this team, you’d contribute to a range of new product features and system scaling initiatives. Who you are Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance software systems Contribute to system architecture and technical design, validating solutions through data and experimentation where appropriate Participate in code and design reviews to maintain high engineering standards Own and support applications during business hours, ensuring system health and reliability Use metrics, logging, and analytics to make data-informed decisions and improve system performance Collaborate closely with partners across engineering, product, data science, and design to deliver solutions Contribute to cross-team initiatives and support the growth of other engineers through mentorship and knowledge sharing Who we are Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience Proficiency in one or more modern backend programming languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin, or similar). Experience building and operating large-scale, high-performance, and resilient systems. Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
