Software Engineer (m/f/d) – Lifestyle Check & Wellabe Lab Systems | Vienna / Munich

We’re looking for an IT professional who enjoys building reliable systems across hardware, applications and cloud platforms, from medical measurement devices and Windows services to web applications and cloud backends.

You’ll take ownership of our Lifestyle Check technology, modernize existing systems, improve reliability and solve real-world technical challenges that directly support better health and wellbeing.

🛠️ You’ll work end-to-end across:

• Windows services & device integrations connecting ~10 device families via Bluetooth, serial, TCP and file exchange
• Angular / TypeScript / Ionic / Electron applications used by lab operators
• Django REST services handling device configuration, authentication, uploads and logs
• GCP, Docker & GitHub Actions for cloud infrastructure and CI/CD
• Observability, remote debugging, release workflows and system reliability
• Integrations with our wider Wellabe platform, including Laravel/PHP and Flask services

Your mission is not simply to maintain existing systems, but you’ll modernise the stack, improve reliability and shape the architecture for the future.

🔍 What we’re looking for

• A strong Windows engineering mindset, including services, installers and deployment
• Hands-on experience integrating hardware and device protocols
• Solid Angular / TypeScript experience
• Familiarity with GCP, Docker and CI/CD
• Python skills, Django/Flask
• The ability to troubleshoot complex issues remotely from incomplete information
• Strong security awareness, particularly around health data and GDPR
• Willingness to travel between Vienna and Munich
• Fluent German and good English

Nice to have:

• PHP/Laravel, health data, biomarker analysis, statistics or ML.
